      Woahhhh, underrated?! I always wanted to be called that by a fellow producer in a mask. Thank you so much! Seriously, the biggest compliment of the day.

    Try Quanta for FREE: bit.ly/quanta-vst
    Granular synthesis is amazing! Is it something that you use in your writing? If so, what's your favorite way to use it?

    as ive already said this is such an informative video that i highly reccomend to any producers, but i was wondering if you might be able to make a video teaching us how to automate the sound to get those cool patterns

    i absolutely love this video, its really helping me get off the ground wuth my music production. quick question though, is anyone else screen going green throughout the video, im just asking so i know its not my phone bugging. thanks for the video!

      @ThisIsOnesto  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey! Glad you liked the video. Granular Synthesis is pretty amazing once you wrap your mind around it.
      And about your question, no need to buy a new phone. When I made this video I was doing a lot of things wrong when recording the demo. One of them being the way that I recorded my screen. So that green popping up, is my bad haha!

    • @ThisIsOnesto

      Nice! I love Quanta. Takes some practice but it's very worth it
      The sample is from Medasin's sample pack on Splice.

    Really well made video!
    Can you do a video on how Flume uses granular/stutter sample manipulation with pitched vocals?

    • @ThisIsOnesto
      @ThisIsOnesto  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Milk Bath, love the name by the way, and that's a great idea for a upcoming video. It's pretty magical when Flume does that. I'll write that down and hopefully I can add it to the rotation soon.

    What?!! What daw is that I use Ableton and it's similar to this. By the way thanks for the informative tutorial!

    • @ThisIsOnesto
      @ThisIsOnesto  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hahaha, it's a little DAW called Bitwig Studio. It was started by a few ex-Ableton develops hence the near identical look and features.
      There's of course a few things that they do differently than ableton, for example they allow you to place on "modulators" onto any plugin which allows you to modulate any parameter. So it becomes extremely flexible and creative to use.
      Check it out, it's pretty cool

    • @rjoseph6212

      @@ThisIsOnesto oooh yea it looks cool. By the way the quanta plugin do you know any free alternatives to it.

    • @ThisIsOnesto
      @ThisIsOnesto  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@rjoseph6212 maybe! I think Ableton. Has one called Granulator. Not sure if it's stock or a max4live. And if you have native instruments bundle they have one called Form. I know quanta is like $100 but that price should be going down a lot once black friday hits so maybe wait up for that

    it would be better if you break down how you made it cause every time i manipulate something it sounds horrible it would be better if you demonstrate it thank you

      I made another video all about Quanta that hopefully is able to fill in those gaps so you can get some great sounds:

      @ThisIsOnesto  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Quanta is not free, but usually it goes on sale during black friday. I think I bought it for $50 when on sale. I think there's a granulizer plugin on FL Studio. If you have Komplete you can try using Form. But hey whatever helps you get a granulized sound works.
