Hey man, since you are using both Logic Pro X and Ableton, I was wondering if you could make a tutorial on how to switch from Logic to Ableton as you've done. Have you tried portal by output for granular stuff? I think they have a rent to own, and I’ve been meaning to get a granular plug-in for a while, but want to make sure the one I get is good before buying

This is why I wrote the sample in C3 which will play back your sample in the key it original is in. If your song is in C or any other key, make sure the samples you’re granulating are in that same key.
Pigments is not a granular synth per se but rather power synth so do not compare it to quanta it is not just. Pigments is the best value/ capabilities overall powersynth maybe pigments and phaseplant since it got recently granular engine.
It just chops the sample and repeats it very fast. And you pick how fast and how short the chops are. When you play something that fast and add reverb it make it sound like a solid sound.
I actually like these algorithms that pigments has. Lotta people mention omnisphere 2, but I honestly was never a fan of omnisphere's granular synthesis. Ive been using a really old, but really powerful old granular resynthesizer that I won't name. Anyway, Im gonna check out pigments

No, granular synthesis uses variations in the loop, so not every loop is the same size or start point.
