- Jerry has a love of sculpins, and he has experimented with a whole bunch of styles and patterns. In one of his latest variations, he uses Senyo Predator wrap, a long-fibered synthetic, to add both a broad shoulder and flash. Watch for his use of a composite loop and his nifty "twisted hitch", which he uses to attach his hooks both to a rabbit strip tail and to the trailing hook material.

still timeless...
The dubbing loop stack seems really innovative,,,and turned out reallly nice. Thx! keep em comin, I think you are going to need your own reality tv show very soon!
Outstanding sculpin pattern. Thanks for sharing the tutorial. I learned several neat techniques. Can’t wait to tie and fish this pattern.
Fantastic looking sculpin! I do love the look. It seems like a lot of work, after tying one and seeing it in my hand it was all worth it. I hope this composite loop takes off. I don't think there is another way to blend these materials to look so good. All the best to you and thanks for sharing. Sean
Thank's,Jerry nice video!
Are you using the same size power pro and hook for the "snack pack" version? Great video, thanks.
Gnarly
what color is the Sanyo's predator wrap you used?
Jerry, OPST folks,
thanks for the great pattern vid. Really appreciate Jerry's comments on the "why" behind the construction. I fish in Wa. state. Is this primarily a rainbow fly that can be used for steelhead? What species are you targeting with this one? I am interested in swinging it for steelies.
Makes me want to go but one instead of tying it
Yea they're involved for sure!
Very nice Sculpin. Can someone please tell me what kind of Vise Mr. French is using? Thank you
It'sa regal with opst shank tool in its jaws
Where do you get that power pro cutting spool?
Not Sure
