It was my first time attempting to build a mallet so I tried to do something a bit different by adding some veneers between the different sections at glue up,it was very hard to keep all the pieces aligned and some moved during clamping so I had to trim the mallet to make it square when the glue had dried.The main mistake I made was with the dowels I have no drill press so they are misaligned. - แนวปฏิบัติและการใช้ชีวิต

I think that is my favourite design of mallet I've seen on youtube and there are a lot to choose from! If I made one I'd either want to frame it of give it as a gift. Maybe I will make some smaller ones and give them as gifts in presentation cases!!

Agreed, great mallet and the cool color strips. I also liked the two dowels to reinforce the handle connection, have not seen that much.

Cool Mallet - I was going to make one for Mitch's contest but they are frowned upon so I might not ever enter this year. I really like the veneer it is a nice touch.

Putting the mineral oil and wax on was my favorite part as it made the colour in the veneers stand out!

That was the original Idea,but I hadn't got enough orange left!I have to buy a whole bag to get another orange piece so i just used what I had.
