@nemesisgenius They also tweaked the home uniforms slightly not as noticeable as the road jerseys I liked the old road uniforms that the words Atlannta were spread out and bigger lettering now it's all cramped together and smaller
@nemesisgenius if you look at the two pictures the new one with braves The red is more darker not as washed out as the previous and highlighted with more blue Than the previous
@nemesisgenius also the Phillies did something similar do theirs they got rid of the white out lines it’s very noticeable on the road jerseys since they are gray you won’t notice it as much on the Home jerseys since they’re white and outlines white. Also when the Blue Jays brought back their early 90’s 92 93 World Series era jerseys The home road jersey And their alternative blue is represented the same as the 92 93 versions accept the fonts were slightly tweaked same goes for the fonts for the numbers. The baseball ⚾️ on the blue jay on the bottom right of the jersey blue jay logo was there but the baseball was removed.
@nemesisgenius I also noticed my team the angels have been wearing their red alternatives only a few times this year they never seem to wear them anymore I don’t know what the deal is. I didn’t recall the nationals having a spring training road jersey. I know they have a white Jersey the white version of the blue alternatives that says nationals in handwriting they’ve been wearing that a lot at home. They also had a stars and strips Curly W version I think they’ve might have discontinued that I am not quite sure about the red version I believe they have the most jerseys then any team
I remember when you could spend $2 for an upper deck ticket and sit by the dugout b/c no one was there. It was like little league attendance back in the 80s in Atlanta.
Listening to John Sterling before his voice had to be the ONLY voice heard. A solid personable announcer who was ONCE a pleasure to listen to. And a joy to hear the voice of the late Pete von Wieren as well. PS Both of these teams were hopelessly mediocre (esp in the pitching dept) with many lineup holes and injuries.
And yes fans, here are the Braves playing in front of a packed house 10 fans. ALRIGHT!!!!!!! And yes this coming from a Braves fan but we sucked that year. At least I'm honest. lol
I don't remember when it was but didn't the Braves play a game once when there were only about 900 fans attending? Expos fan here BTW and it seemed to me the Braves always played the Expos tough even when they weren't very good.
@@BartholomewSmutz Come to think of it, I do remember bits & pieces about that one. If memory is right, I think they had that game posted here on youtube at one point, but it might've been removed for whatever reason. As for the Expos, I remember Steve Rogers, Ellis Valentine, Gary Carter, Andre Dawson & the bunch & they were rather good if I do say so myself. Shame they no longer have a team in Montreal. Even as a Braves fan, I kinda miss those days of the Braves vs the Expos. Guess its a sign of the times & right now there not too good. I miss baseball & hope we can soon get back to normal living, whatever the hell that is. In the meantime to pass away the time baseball wise, I'll play my APBA Baseball the 1961 set & wait till MLB resumes on TV. Either play APBA or watch some MLB action on youtube.
diamonddog13 I have a copy of that game but it's the same one as all the other ones here on TH-cam, so I'm on the hint for a full copy but I yet to confirm one even exists
Bottom of that 2nd inning, never smart baseball bunting a catcher over to 2nd with slow speed only to have em try & score from 2nd on a single by the lead off hitter. The vast majority of catchers don't run well & it would usually take an extra base hit in order to get em to score anyway & thus you get what we saw here, an out at the plate. Not very smart managing. No wonder we stunk that year. lol
I miss these days. 7:35 pm WTBS Sterling, Van Wieren and Skip.
Loved these road uniforms of the Expos.

I miss the Expos. Braves fan here in Georgia.
In DC there was an Expos Day at Nats park, the Expos stuff sold out in 3 innings.

Wow... Wallach was the man. And Griffey sr with the Braves!
And the inning.... is over. :) Good memories.

Only 4 years away from a DOMINANT BRAVES CLUB
Loved John Sterling when he called Braves and Hawks games on TBS. Then he became the Yankees radio guy and became unbearable.
What a dump in 87 glavine 2-4 smoltz was still a tiger and greg was a cub...BUT what a turn around in 1991....
1987 was another 90 loss season for the Braves
Excellent quality...
Except for the team themselves palmer chuck Tanner😂😂🙏🙏yeah I got the runs just watchin this crap....lol
Was there a pandemic back then? You would think so by the looks of that crowd
No, the Braves were just terrible af.
First Braves game I went to was 87 and there may have been 4k in the seats.
I'm surprised the Braves didn't give away a truckload of tickets for free.
Where's Biff Pocoroba?
Or Brad Komminsk? 😆
@0:33 Hey announcer... wear a suit and not a prison uniform
That's John Sterling who now announces for the Yankees.
Wow. What a puny crowd.
@@Sean-mclaughlin Nothing you'd find different at a Marlins game.
Quite extraordinary that Wallach hits 3 HR in an Expos loss the year after Bob Horner hit 4 HR in a Braves loss to the Expos.

That heckler is loud & sounds like hee haw
Man this takes me back. Was 15 playing high school baseball.
david palmer and bob sebra, two journyman pitchers
