I ❤ ormond 😂 I like to call him/her bitey Mac bite face, but seriously the guard keeps telling them he bites! Yet they ignore him! But honestly if you had to do duty on any horse, he is the best one 🤣 because you’ll not be shouting get back get off the reins!

I am in love with this horse. I have seen her maintaining her space so well. She is awesome. I wish she could train the other horses to be the same. I wrote several compliments about her without knowing her. Now I know her name. I adore her. The Queen would have been so proud of her. She is so good. She knows what her mission is. She immediately let's everyone to respect her space. If they don't she will bite. Love her!! I recognize her by her mark on her forehead and white socks on her hind legs.

Just love these horses that stay stand their ground. Most of these horses have more brains then these parents. Horses seem to smarter with the kids then the parents.

I wondered how the horse/guard combo was chosen. I thought maybe guards only had one horse each, or only a select few. Would love to know.
@@michellewest3404saw video on when horses are brought into service, at age of 4/5 years and at time they are matched with soldiers. And that is their horse for duration of their service. At least that was my understanding, BUT could be wrong and sure won’t be last time I have been 😂

I love having you comment through the vid, but do hope you learn the horses and guards names to provide us with more info. I always look forward to Ormonde's and Arnie's appearances since they both are sure to provide us a good show. I don't usually complain about the tourists since we wouldn't have this entertainment without them and it fascinates me how people's expression is so smiley with the horse but changes to a frown between each take. If you fast pace the vid, it's hilarious.
I know many of both, but naturally do not share the names of Guards as they are active duty service personnel who deserve both respect and privacy. 🙏🏻
Gotcha on the names, forgot we did same when I was in service here but that was wayyyyy back before internet days. I know some of the guards' names but never mention them but the horses I do if I know them. Only been watching the guards for a month though, so just catching on. Take another week and just might (wisfull thinking), I'll remember all. Hope ya'll enjoy this as much as I do. Yes, I'm an old southern hen.

One good thing about a horse that's a biter.....no one will get too close and paw at the poor animal, and it proves they don't need to touch to take pictures!

Ormonde is looking for a bite . . . lol . . . you can see it in her eyes. The Guard on her back is also keeping watch, his eyes never stop either. They all look magnificent: Kiwi.. . I love the car stopping and having a photo taken along with the Kings Guard and horse.
It's interesting watching Ormonde deciding who to bite or not. And even then who he decides to scare with a bluff bite and who to actually give a real chomp on. He seems to have his own criteria and you can see him thinking about it before he lunges.

I would discourage this behavior exhibited my personal steed but definitely encourage this from the King's Guard remuda!

Please give me the name of the other horse. The majestic black one. Ormonde is beautiful and keeps the tourist in line. So many of the horses appear to be really easily pissed off at the tourist. Entertaining but who could blame them! Thank You for your video's.

All the horses need to be like this horse. I like how he or she picks who there are gonna let pose for picture and the others puts the ears back and nibbles on or at least tries to . People don't need to get in the personal space of the Guard and horse to take a photo. After one or two pictures horse is like you have enough pictures now go away lol.

Is it known if a guard is assigned a particular mount? In any case, it doesn't look like Ormonde will experience the crowding that occurs at times. He/she has yet to perfect the casual "few steps and leaning" technique to score bites on more victims. The "human-sized carrot" remark at 16:12 made me laugh.

love Ormonde! 🥰 wish she would teach all the other horses how to keep tourists back, although some of these eejits think it's some kind of game - though the temperment of these military horses shows through when children are near - thank you for showing the first King's Guards of the day - am I not seeing right or is maintenance off on the weekends as to the floor cleaning of the sentry boxes?
Horses like the children because they are naturally, intuitively, most respectful of the horse’s space! Sometimes parents push or hold the kids too close but the children themselves will protest or hang back -they have more sens3 than the adults, especially the entitled elderly!
