CW, BLUF: I just recently retired from the Air Force in Nov ‘20 after serving our great Nation after 22 years in the service. During the transition to being a civilian has been overwhelming at times and gone down to dark places numerous times. I’ve been watching your videos for a quiet long time and after watching you fly DCS it has inspired me to do the same. FYSA: This did. It turn out to be a BLUF 😂 you have inspired me to refocus on the little things and venture out to learn something new, and you have absolutely done that for this ol’ retiree. Thank you my friend I wish I could go more in-depth but this is definitely not the platform. Hopefully you get a chance to read my comment, V/r Your fellow brother in arms CJ

@@loganp.9987 The AF trusts mk82's over soldiers to do the assaulting. With the occasional GAU-8 brrrt for a harmonious background.

Look at the rotor mast on the Huey ... lifting straight up into a hover and you will wobble forward if you don't pull the reins in a little.
I wonder if that anti-air crew also had purple and red smoke grenades 😄

We didn’t see any of the multi crew action in the Huey. It was just you flying. Did you have a couple guys as door gunners? I wanted to see how multi crew worked.

Are you using Oculus Touch Controllers to fly? I've been trying to figure out how to use them for aircraft other than the su-25t and the flaming cliffs 3 planes.

It would be hilarious if mover did CSAR. If an F-15E crew ejected he would let the pilot in and just look at the WSO and say "Sorry I would rather have the extra gas" then just takeoff and leave him behind.
That's a lucky WSO, they are usually the last flare..to survive long enough to make pick-up, just to get left behind.. damn, that's..uh..
Well, good thinking really..fuel is a far more important consideration, and a very valuable commodity.

I want to know a good suggested build-out for DCS.
Me to I know little about computers and want to play but have no idea what I need or where to start
Hmm my two cents: I still get decent performance with a GTX 1080 TI on a Intel i7-6700 4 GHz all a little bit overclocked (to 4.2 GHz and the GPU about 5%), so a modern mid gaming rig should do. But in my opinion you need a good hotas setup with paddles and vr or track-ir or you loose about 80% of the game. Getting the Warthog Hotas, Saitek Paddles and an EDTracker was going from frustration to real fun. The first Gen Vive VR the next level - I was suddenly able to fly the Huey. So Computer not so expensive. Periverals EXPENSIVE.
If you go on the dcs website they have recommend builds for low and high quality as well as vr

Digital Combat Simulator.
DCS UH-1H Huey module, you can get it from the DCS website itself or on Steam. DCS itself is free and comes with the TF-51D Mustang trainer (clickable cockpit, no weapons) and Su-25T Frogfoot strike aircraft (non-clickable cockpit, full modern weapons loadout) for free.
Be careful with calling DCS a game the DCS community will burn you at the stake for that 😬
