That is so beautiful! There are so many lovely squiggles the a-symmetry is unnoticeable unless you're specifically looking for it. I love the lines in this piece!
Yvonne, I just tried this and I LOVED how mine came out! I have been looking for a way to use my resin cabs I make, and this is perfect. This is the kind of jewelry I like to make, so thanks for a wonderful tutorial!
Great tutorial...clear instruction with adequate time to absorb the information. Beautiful artistic outcome with plenty of room to make it my own design. TY.....keep up the good work. PAM
Would like you to that your videos are great to follow. I am just learning Wire wrapping and I want to. Thank you for your patience and I will keep following your videos because I know I will learn alot. Again Thank You Cathy
Great tutorial, Von! I'm predominantly a wire worker, but I've never tried the wide flat wire. I love the hefty dimension it gives the piece here. And using aluminum, it stays lighter in weight. Really makes an impressive statement! Also, I've seen several comments here about using a snake of clay or a bead of hot glue around the front to keep the UV resin from leaking through--I never would have come up with that. Great how we all learn from each other, isn't it?
Hey, Robin! I have been having a blast working with resin and polymer clay, taking breaks from wire wrapping lets my hands, nails, and mind relax and recover :)
I really love how you explain your steps. I also love that yoy make mistakes but you just roll with it. I would have been so upset I would have thrown out the whole thing. It will make me think twice about doing that now. Thanks Yvonne!
Oooo, I just love that flat wire - the possibilities! I'd think the wire would be difficult to work but you make it look quite doable. Your pendant and frame are spectacular.
😊 Hi Yvonne, You are such a lovely teacher of crafts! I love how you remind us that its ok to make a booper and it can be made into something great anyway. I love your dragon eyes. I want to show my students how to do it next in the up coming school year. This is such a cool pendant you have made with the dragon eye. You have inspired me to try it.
Sweet ... Careful sanding ... You could scratch the glass ... Good idea to trim excess resin/epoxy while still pliable ...a nice lapis necklace would go good here ...
Lmao so I have to do wirewrapping for work because part of my job is teaching juvenile delinquents and all they can manage is arts and crafts… my supervisor accidentally got flat wire and I haven’t got a clue what to do with it and every example I see using flat wire I’m like…🤨😒… lmao I’ll give it to ya though, you’re the only channel that’s made me go “hmmm…” with your flat wire examples 😂
So beautiful!! I love how you are using your talent. I would love to try this but I'm not sure I have the talent to do it :) Thanks so much for sharing with us.
If you buy cheap kid's modeling clay at a 99 cent store and put it around the front of the eye where you are putting the tape, it will form a seal and the resin cannot get thru to the front. You can reuse the clay over and over again after our take the resin off.
What for a beautiful and amazing tutorial, thank so much Ivonne, this is a beautiful piece and the technique is wonderful, I have made and it is great, thank you so much, maybe you make more tutorials with this flat wire!!!!
Stunning piece a real eye catcher (pun intended) it doesn't matter about symmetrical it is a one off piece of your art (nearly had you in it with that blade) love it. x
Great tutorial. I have found a better way of stopping the epoxy from bleeding out the front. I ran a bead of hot glue along front seam. This holds the glass in place well and keeps bleeds from happening.
i love your necklace so pretty Von. hey did you ever get to check your fb messages. i found some pictures of wire flowers that i think would really look like a pretty accent for all your wire work. also found a pic of a rose they used indian ink to color the metal and flat wire for the rose. just some more ideas. for ur lovely work. much love.
@yvonne How do you come up or say plan your pieces. I love watching you and the feeling that you know what your next step is your not "winging it ". I would like to learn that so I can maybe one day create my own pieces and style
What is work toughened? If that what you said? What does that mean and how does it help? Trying to learn how to wire wrap but haven't begun my first project yet.
Yvonne, I seen how you used tape to stop the running of the epoxy. I have never used this, but have you tried rolling a snake of clay? Just a thought. Not sure if it would work or not. Hugs
Love your work and your tutorials... I have a question not really related to this clip, it's about oxidising (sorry my english, not my first language)... Figured I ask this on a recent tutorial, hope you don't mind . Can you oxidise the wire b4 wrapping a stone? I'm asking cuz I remember you saying in one of your clips that not all stones are suitable... So what if I do the oxidising b4 the wrapping???
Hey, Cynthia! If you are using a wire that is uncoated and will take a patina, you can definitely oxidize before wrapping! I would recommend loosening up the wire spool so that more surface are is exposed.
How do you use the flat wire to wrap round Stones crystal stones just like the one you're using any Crystal just not a flat one how do you do it please let me know
Oh my goddess how beautiful. I just got my order from para wire and now want to order that flat wire. My Husband is gonna kill me lol. Shhhhh we won't tell him.
Where would you sudjest someone to start if they want to sell their work to others online? There is so much invalved with being a business I am not sure what to start with.
Is it sad that once you started bending the two sides down around the oval, the first thing I thought of was The Deathly Hallows??? That may be what I shoot for lol
Beautiful Piece Right Here . I Just Love Yvonne & Randy's Work!!

That asymmetry reminds me of the inner and outer corners of an eye lid
Stunning piece a real eye catcher (pun intended) it doesn't matter about symmetrical it is a one off piece of your art (nearly had you in it with that blade) love it. x
lol, I love a good, or bad, pun! I am surprised I still have all my fingers and toes after all the close calls I have had!
Great tutorial. I have found a better way of stopping the epoxy from bleeding out the front. I ran a bead of hot glue along front seam. This holds the glass in place well and keeps bleeds from happening.

What kind are you using in this video?
Hey Yvonne I Have A Question ⁉️ On A Piece Like This! How Much Would You' Charge??
very nice work thanks for the tutorial what type of cable are you using? Thank you, I do not know much about this but I want to become one
@Yvonne Williams I need on of these in a red eye.
Hello I truly enjoy your work do u teach ousted of utube?
What is work toughened? If that what you said? What does that mean and how does it help? Trying to learn how to wire wrap but haven't begun my first project yet.
When you tape the piece up for the resin maybe use a more flexible tape such as electrical tape rather than packaging tape.
Brilliant♡♡♡♡
if anyone is making their own cabochons out of resin, take care if you scrape final setting epoxy off with a blade, it will scratch
Yvonne, I seen how you used tape to stop the running of the epoxy. I have never used this, but have you tried rolling a snake of clay? Just a thought. Not sure if it would work or not. Hugs
I have trouble with my plier making marks in the wire. Is that due to the plier? or the quality of the wire I'm using?
Yah, no deviant art link. Also, where do you get your chain? Do they have curb chain? Actually, I'd like to find a nice chain to use as extender.
Love your work and your tutorials... I have a question not really related to this clip, it's about oxidising (sorry my english, not my first language)...
