  • We coloured pencil artist just love a good battery eraser of which there are many fantastic ones. Not that long ago as I was watching perhaps one of the finest colored pencil portrait artists, I noticed the artist use a particular battery eraser, one I had not seen before.
    I had a look about online and tracked it down, so, for those of you who may not have seen this product before, here is my review of the Thinnest Battery Eraser I can find the Tihoo Battery Eraser. To find out about prices, just follow the link below to the written review where you will find everything.

    Donations
    I am not comfortable adding this to my site or TH-cam channel. I receive many emails and messages asking me how people can help support The Art Gear Guide, mainly I think due to the fact that I purchase all of the supplies myself, except those sent directly from companies kind enough to do so. I have decided to add a donations button to my site, however, I feel the best way to add such a campaign is as follows, all donations made will be used to purchase art products for review, however, all products purchased using donated funds, after they have been reviewed, will be used as giveaways to subscribers of the TH-cam Channel, the web site or any of the above social media platforms. This way I personally will not benefit from financial donations. I have set this channel and site up for my own enjoyment and not profitable gain. I feel with this support method, everyone wins but not in a financial.

    My Own Personal Art
    I would not exactly call myself an artist in the true sense of the word, however I absolutely love art as it has helped me immensely dealing with clinical depression due to my battle with constant chronic pain and disability. Follow the link to check out my own projects bit.ly/2qAa7BN
    Thank You
    Finally, thank you so much for all of your support, without all of you, this channel and The Art Gear Guide would simply not be the same.
    Thank you so much.

    I have one just like the Tihoo but labeled Curate & Colour. Looks like some manufacturer may white label it for different stores. Originally bought it for hand drafting, but it was too harsh on the drafting vellum and it smudged the graphite. I have more gentle and accurate control drafting with an art gum or white elastomeric eraser and eraser shield as needed. Thanks for the review, didn't realize it would work so well with colored pencils. Now it has a second life!

    Just a wee update the electric eraser I ordered arrived today in a sealed pack. It is an original Tihoo eraser with the Tihoo name on it. I purchased for less than the expected price from Amazon UK for £6.49. I'm going to go try it out on a graphite portrait I'm working on just now.Thanks again for this information, as I hadn't heard about this eraser before seeing your video.

    Have always wished my Tombow Mono eraser was electric, like my Derwent eraser, so am so pleased to see this!
    Thank you so much for such an in depth and thorough demonstration and review. It's going to be perfect for my small, detailed work.
    Edit: Have just received Tihoo eraser from Ebay and it's exactly what I was looking for 😊

    Thanks for this Harry, I love my Tombow Mono eraser, but this adds more scope for fine subtractive marks and highlights. I hadn't heard of this battery eraser. I have just found this one from Amazon for £6.49 although it doesn't have the Tihoo name on it but looks identical. It's from seller Sinzau in case you want to check it out, it's also available on Prime with free delivery.

    I think I would actually like this eraser more than the Ohuhu battery-powered eraser I have for the simple fact that it seems as if it would be less awkward to hold in the hand being shaped and sized more like a pen or pencil. I love erasers lol. I do really like the Tombow Mono Zero. It's nice to have different sizes and types for different reasons/techniques.

    Thank you for another great video & demo of a product I haven't seen before. It looks really interesting. I'm just trying to practice drawing. I've only been coloring so far but, enjoying it immensely. I may just put this on my Christmas wishlist. I hope you are well.

    Hi Harry. I am going through all your reviews which have all been great. I hope you dont mind me raising this but I want to alert people in the UK who want to buy this on Amazon. Can I urge you to only use Amazon and not a Market seller. I bought this using a seller - and having waited nearly 3 weeks for it to turn up got an item that was not a Tihoo - but some knock off. The seller and I got into some 'interesting' correspondence. I eventually got my money refunded - but wonder how many people have been duped. I tried to raise it with Amazon but they did not want to know.

I was thinking to get one of that (with or w/o battery) but I was contemplating which one, do i really need it etc. Unfortunately, Tihoo can't be delivered to my country but I'll give more thought to other erasers. I also didn't know there were some health issue with your daughter, but I hope it gets better..it will get better. Stay strong!

    I recently ordered a tihoo eraser(i got it today actaully) and ive followed all the instructions used the correct battery so on and so on,but when i use it,it doesnt does it's purpose, like when i press the button it doesn't..yknow spin, is this an error that occurs in electric eraser? Any help?

      random person hi, it would appear something has either happened to the battery in transit or it was broke in the store. If I were you I’d simply contact where you bought it from tell them what’s happened and ask for a replacement, because all you have to do is put the batteries in, insert the eraser and press the button. If that is not working something is wrong with it. Let me know how you get on

    I don't created the point on the eraser on sandpaper.... I just tip it on regular drawing paper... works just as good... and by holding those 5mm erasers on an edge of a sheet of paper, you can create a more narrow and smaller nip/tip for the eraser :) Out of curiousity, what is happening to her? Best wishes anyway

    Please, you don't mention an important detail !... are we obliged, as with Derwent, to keep one finger continually on the button ?... Or not ???
    Thx for your answer.

    • @TheArtGearGuide
      @TheArtGearGuide  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah you have to keep your finger on the button, I highlight it in the written review. However there is a rechargeable battery eraser that you don’t need to continuously hold the button, I reviewed it on the website and TH-cam channel.

    • @TheArtGearGuide
      @TheArtGearGuide  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You are absolutely right, however, I am just about to upload a video with a USB powered eraser and it is whisper quite and incredibly smooth hardly no vibration at all. I should have it up in a few days

    • @Gawron..
      @Gawron.. 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheArtGearGuide Derwent USB does not suit me personally due to the lack of removable batteries. I have already ordered a Tihoo eraser. You have confirmed by yourself that the Tihoo does not vibrate too much, so maybe it will not be bad. In the worst case, I will wipe by holding the eraser through the bubble wrap :)

    Please script your video. It will help keep you on point and avoid the frequent ums and silences. Your videos will be shorter, snappier and more engaging. Winging it makes your audience do more work. Good luck!

    • @TheArtGearGuide
      @TheArtGearGuide  ปีที่แล้ว

      I’ve tried that and the people who watch my videos regularly didn’t like it. They said scripted videos sound scripted and they prefer honest to the point reviews.
      I also tried providing shorter videos and that didn’t work either. I did two videos on the Caran D’Ache Lunimance Colored Pencils. The video that was almost 30 minutes got over a 100k views and the video that was 3 minutes I don’t thing has reach a thousand views yet and it was put up a few years ago.
      I really appreciate your advice and input but I have tried them all and the system I currently use is the system most artists would appear to prefer.
      Thank you so much I always appreciate help and advice

I look forward to your help and advice. It’s a shame you don’t have any videos on your channel as I could watch and learn from you, so I’ll just have to make do with a comment from you, listing my faults and ideas on how and what to change. Perhaps my Irish accent is unsettling for you because if it is, I could also work on changing that to a preferable accent, just let me know and I will work on it. Thank you so much for you help and advise I very much look forward to hearing back from you.
