This area is haunted. I worked as a security guard over there for some years and I would hear the creepiest things in my building at night. Most notably a man yelling in the penthouse of one of high rises when the building was completely empty. It was like he was yelling to someone..almost like something you would hear in a haunted abandoned mine. Shadows under the doors of empty rooms. I’d really like to know the history of this area.

Such finds are often are found at construction sites all over the world! But such finds, cost the construction company quite a bit, so I thank them for their contribution and I hope the exhibit of the ships remains gives them credit! of course the archeologist would like to have more time but time is money, such is often the case all over the world and we own much of what is found to companies that halted construction to let scientist and historians study and preserve the finds!

It is not very unusual to find scuttled ships in Boston. Part of the process of land making was to scuttle old, unwanted ships between the wharves. It was called "wharfing out." They also found a ship when they were building 75 State Street.

Its too bad that most people think money is the most important thing in this world. so what if the company was losing money , are they supposed to gain all the time ?
Are they supposed to just let all the other workers go home without a paycheck? What about renegotiating the contracts that stipulate when a particular part of work gets done so that other companies and crews can begin their work? If I have 27 cement trucks dedicated to bringing cement to start pouring the first floor on December 1, and I have a penalty clause in my contract if I postpone, and a penalty clause in my contract with the workers if they don't get work done starting the second floor, etc, how much is a horribly preserved, non significant piece of rotted wood worth? Most of this worlds civilizations are built on top of previous civilizations and foundations. You cannot just stop everything to dig it all up. That is all we would be doing. Someone has to pay for it. Why should the shareholders of Skanska pay for it? They invested in a building company, not an archeological dig. So if you depended on dividends to pay your rent, and Skanska's stock price went down, would you still be so cavalier about the company making money? I guess if its not your money to give away, its OK with you.
its good publicity to stop the work to look at it also they had a post in the middle so its not like they were rigorously working in that area but wow nice find
There is a big difference between 1920 vs 1800s.....there at is at least 40-100 year difference, when that ship was dated (assuming the latest is around 1880s).

The two reporters with all the talking with their hands, the floozy blonde with all the extra emphasis on every other word, and the fact that she just had to throw in the word AWESOME at the end. Obligatory tag-team male-female news anchors in one of the worst examples. Then we go on location and the reporter there starts the segment with a childish rendition to the theme from Gilligan's Island. And the so-called site archaeologist talks like a typical woman, where every sentence is a question.
And then at the end, the speculation that they will find gold, after the idea was put forth that the ship ran aground on mud flats, and its cargo stripped.
It's a 100 year old piece of nothing. It has zero archaeological value. Regardless of what was said in the video, the law requires company's to stop if they unearth an unknown artifact. And the incentive is to take your chances and keep digging, especially when a nothing ends up costing you big bucks...
