it really seems like payday devs are just trying to abolish the solo player at this point, always online, stealth heists that seem like they were built for at least 2 people, and nearly impossible to work with friendly AI on high difficulty loud heists, its like theyre saying "Fk you, either get 3 friends to buy this game with you or suffer"
Who could have guessed that the highest difficulty in the game, which literally says 4 experienced players recommended, is difficult when playing alone!?!?

Murky Station was always kinda annoying to me, idk why. I guess I never really learned the best routes but it still felt tedious to me

@@cmdr101z8 I felt the same when it first released. Sensor Mines really helped me out and in general, I came to like it more.
Shadow Raid is still my favorite. But Murky was so much more chill than Turbid Station. The camera resetting, having to do a scan (really hate that).
@@user-cf5ee3tj9f og murky you could run around like a super ninja and feel sneaky and efficient. Could do runs in like 3-4 mins for just the bomb parts. Turbid is like they sucked the fun out of it

While stuff like what happened at 41:35 never happened to me. (yet) Never have I felt such anger as I watch a man lose and gain nothing after all the time investment in a game due to connection failures. It's kind of livid that this game does not have an easy reconnect or an offline mode for solo stealth endeavors.
I haven't either and it's weird that it seems to happen so frequently to others I hope they fix the game soon I still enjoy it tho

Worse, the servers are this shit and the player count was less than 1000 when I last checked....

I really miss the old soundtrack for this heist. It was the best part about it if I'm being honest. Does it sound toxic if I say this new music guy just isn't that good? I feel like his music doesn't fit Payday at all if I'm being 100% honest 😂
people don’t want to listen to blasting dubstep and punk rock as much anymore. the music is better for newer players and also fits how you don’t hear that stuff as much anymore

The secure loop reset modifier was there before the patch on other overkill difficulty heists, it was on gold and sharke and rock the cradle in particular, which already had unavoidable cams/guards, the only difference here is that you have to mask up at some point so grifter won't save you. It is annoying, but it's nothing new per say
don't mention grifter, I'm gonna be so sad if they nerf it
if you're lucky you don't have to mask up at all. I just did the heist in 8:00 (technically 7:53 but the stupid mission timer counts down). I had to grab a QR code and the SSD.

i really wish payday 3 was just a gameplay overhaul of payday 2. in it's current state, from what i've played and seen it's.. lackluster. I wish that instead of making new content they instead just ported and overhauled existing content. re-animate the old weapon models, character models, npcs, and whatever else, and then gradually work front to back to "HDify" the old to look new once released and comfortable. Take old heists (probably not all of them), give them the 2023 shake-up, and gradually work to release/update more with patches. It really would've been enough. Porting old assets, and giving them a fresh feel would have (in my humble little opinion) been a far smaller beast to tackle, with the bonus of coming feature rich with a decades worth of content, right out the gate. I would've been more than happy to buy it. I love payday 2. Just to my Modern Warfare poisoned adhd gogogo zoomer brain, it doesn't feel as great to play as it used to for me.

i get what you’re saying, and i don’t mean any disrespect with this but it just seems like you’re asking for a payday 2 remake, not something new. i think payday 3 is heavily flawed but its issues and content are similar to payday 2 at launch as well. payday 2 was also vastly unfinished at launch and a lot of features that are now standard were completely missing from payday 2, and that was even different than payday the heist. they’re making a new game, which i think given time is exciting, and id much prefer that to just remaking payday 2. that being said i’d still love a remade payday 2 in unreal, i just prefer the sequel format to try something new
The "camera's not being loopable" isn't a new modifier. They can't be looped on Gold And Sharke either.
When on overkill I've noticed that a heist will either have a LEAD GUARD or a CERBERUS CORE in the cameras that make them unhackable

only thing worse than disconnects on solo games is trying to find a pub and never finding one (espeically when im playing higher difficulties)
this heist compared to murky station is like a perfect comparison of payday 3 to payday 2. It’s like they sucked the fun out, everything is so SLOWWWW and tedious. In pd2 you could feel like a super ninja during stealth if you knew what you were doing. In this game I always just feel slow and clunky

Stealth on Payday3 is so frustrating. Have so start over and over again. PD2 was so nice and smooth, now Iget spotted all the time. This takes away all the fun...

EDIT: This workaround was patched with the release of the Syntac Error DLC
So. . . I learned that with the modifier regarding you only being able to have a runtime last 5 seconds, I think I found a bug that works around it. If you hack it, and use the route ping runtime and immediately follow up with the loop runtime after that, it stays stuck on the loop indefinitely.
You may need the hacker aced skill to have 2 runtimes. I've tried this multiple times on the heist and it consistently worked per camera.
I'd like to hear feedback if this works for anyone else, or if maybe my session was just bugged somehow.

Oh good. They released two legacy maps that for sure wasn't finished for launch. And they didn't then decide to hold them off because they realized they're game has about a weeks worth of content. They for sure didn't release a half finished game that didn't even have things like first person animations.... oh wait

Is this a good benchmark for the rest of the updates quality? Or is this just one of the bigger outliers? I want to play but I’d rather wait until the game is worth my time, even if it’s just playing for fun to level up and try new heists
If you don't have gamepass it's definitely isn't worth it still id say, the update is a good improvement but it still doesn't quite feel like a complete game
First impressions are everything to a game's longevity, even after this relatively okayish update, it still needs like 1 year of content and qol improvements for this game to have some identity and substance.
why would people want to mod a game being pushed by the developers as a scuffed live service game with no offline mode designed to 100% extract your money despite its horrible launch with dead servers

and also why csgo transition to cs2 is so damn good (and priced pretty similarly to csgo, contrast to payday 3 huge amount of dollars for only its base game)
new engine new everything but they never forget their roots of existing things that worked really well
the mechanic and the gameplay is pretty much the exact same, whilst having huge opportunities to be improved upon years later
for example, cs2 danger zone (the battle royale game mode) will for sure be coming and be better than ever

This heist made me hate pd3. I was okay with 3 up until this update but this formula for difficulty is just too much tedious balancing. I guess I don't enjoy a challenge anymore.
Happy to see my decison to not buy Payday 3 has paid off very well so far.

Imo, payday 3 they took on the more “Realistic” approach to the game, rather than keeping our goofy mechanics and having fun, it feels like they took that from us. THATS why the game died so quickly :/
