The human riot shield looks like something my degraded brain would love to use. That clip where barely anyone shot you while holding hostage looke tremendous and hilarious so it might as well be one of my favourite options to use. Thanks for this useful show of synergies, really helpful for my future runs.
i dont really like payday 3 but your videos always entertain me , thank you for what you do kknowley and i hope you and your family are doing well. sorry for your loss.
the mosconi build also benefits from coup de grace since you also have shock & awe it makes you deal 5% damage against staggerd enemies currently which makes the 1shots more consistent
I prefer medium in most cases if it's 100% going loud. Taking a plate of armor even if you have like 1/8 of your maximum armor left as 2 plate armor vest will cause waste. Medium always ensures you're utilizing armor 100%.
@@welkingunther4298it's all down to preference, as far as I know the movement speed is the same for the one, two and three plate armors and the main difference is regen time.
One thing people tend to not give enough credit for is the reinfield 880. When modded correctly and with some spread decrease skills, that thing can become a literally shotgun sniper. Sure it’s not as fun as the Mosconi, but it’s very powerful and it helped my solo road rage overkill
my best guess at how the internal logic behind that works is as follows: -The Mosconi is fired with one bullet left, reducing its loaded ammo count to 0. -The game is programmed to automatically begin a reload sequence when your loaded ammo reaches/equals 0, so it does that. Part of this sequence requires the reload animation be played. -...however, I assume the game does this check *before* it runs whatever scripts check if you meet the conditions to activate Ammo Funnel/Replenish and activate those effects. -This then results in situations where you fire the Mosconi with one shot remaining and get a kill while meeting the conditions to trigger Ammo Funnel/Replenish, but the game forces you to reload anyways because, for a very short moment in time, you had no ammo in your gun, and thus the game decides that you need to reload despite the fact that you can likely still fire a shot if you're doing Bulletstorm Gaming strats. As a related aside, I think I *tried* using the pump shotgun instead of the Mosconi in that build once. It can probably be made to work if you have more attachments than I do, but I think the Mosconi is still far easier to use effectively on the grounds that it usually takes one shot from the Mosconi to kill a basic cop at close range, while I find that the Reinfield often requires more than one shot to do the same.
i feel like theres not enough people talking about how the current armour system is entirely limiting of many playstyles - the guarantee that eventually you will run out encourages builds that both kill quickly and require as little time as possible out of cover, funnelling players into choosing mainly high damage weapons with the same skills and anything outside of the few tried and true pathways being punished. you can see during the explosive build he takes an insane amount of damage any time he leaves cover to approach a spawn or anything. ovk definitely need to redesign the armour system because as it stands, the guarantee that players will run out makes gameplay really boring
Hell it's really boring right now I think they should bring back the Regen armor from pay day 2 but make the Regen slower so during downtimes in the heist you'll get free Regen and then in the middle you can still use armor bags to instantly receive more armor or then they can just remove armor bags and replace it with something else and also at the same time bring back the armor from payday 2
my favourite build to play is the ohko reinfeld 880 using the finisher skill (if you have edge you deal 200% more damage on your last shot of a magazine and consume edge) and the aced enforcer skill (whenever you kill 1 enemy within 5 meters of you if you have grit you get edge) and lastly the quick reload skill to reload faster with both grit and edge, just waste your reinfeld 880 mag down to your last round swap for edge double kill for enforcer basic, get grit, get edge reload (reinfeld is a pump action gun so just reload 1 round) and repeat. the build is sorta like old graze builds where you can easily multikill and ohko everything thats not a dozer but have a slow ROF by using the CQC barrel and 12G jaw choke you can mylti kill much easier and deal heaps of damage.
I just feel like if armor was regeneratable like in Payday 2 albeit way slower than the meta would surely broaden. But honestly I just want Sydney back in the game with her anarchist playstyle.
They should really add that because using standard lining is a death sentence on overkill it gets taken out by like 2 shots from even the normal swats So if they added armor Regen it would make standard lining actually reliable but since there isn't any it's not very reliable to use it trust me I would know I used it a bunch on release as I really love fast builds
due note for the mosconi build, the "cutting shot" skill has been changed to if you have edge and aiming down sight your shots will penetrate through one additional target instead of just your general armor pernatration being increased.
That grenade build looks goofy as hell, I gotta give it a shot. Kinda hate how every build is running armor and ammo skills; not from a build perspective but from a general balance perspective, feels kinda lame having to spend skill points on skills just to feel like I'm not throwing away all my ammunition and wearing armor made of cardboard. Sorry to hear about the loss, but glad you're getting back to life, it can be really hard to get moving again, in my experience.
I've been using something like the mad bomber build as my signature in pubs for a while now, on heists like G&S I can just point blank throw a nade while standing in a crowd of cops on the staircase and come out mostly unharmed.
The hostage mechanics are the main way I play and makes it funny as SWATs take it in turn to rush towards my pistol like Batman henchmen. I will say I think the pistol choice isn't great due to the limited mag/cylinder size. I prefer to use the 1911 style pistol (forget it's name. It has a chrome slide and one of the later pistol unlocks). It has comparable damage to the revolver but is more accurate and has more ammo and mag size. Another interesting build is using Intimidating while doing stealth to deal with guards. While not as fast as just popping their skull when dealing with the body, it allows a way to neutralise a guard without relying on aiming at their head. It also allows 1 non-lethal guard removal per player using it and is just super fun from a roleplaying perspective. You still need to answer the radio but you also gain a free guard hostage for negotiations if stealth fails and you have the skill that makes guards count as 2 hostages.
There might be some misunderstandings of weapon stats. Gunkick is the amplitude of how much the gun model (and with it sight & reticle) moves, thus assuming hipfire only, the Compact RDS might not be the best choice for the Mosconi. And the Spread (overall, hipfire, or targeting) doesn't influence the min. & max. amounts of pellet deviation (or bullet distribution), but delays the increase of spread over time (the aim bloom). My 2ct about the Mosconi build would be playing it in ADS configuration. One will hit with all 7 pellets more consistently that way (since ADS actually reduces pellet spread, and that by a lot). Naturally the Gunslinger line is to be redistributed, but in the end, it results in a more effective build.
True might be interesting but I think the reason most people use it in hip fire is due to how much easier it is to land shits since the mosconi won't be blocking half of your screen
Hey there's no harm in stealth if anything it's the best way to run every heist as you have no chances of dying so that makes it pretty much a guaranteed win and Aldo the fact that the way rng works it's super easy to just brute force the game untill you make it
Hey Kknowley do you think you could possible revisit your best bot load-out video as Payday 2 is now finished and has had a few weapon and modification additions, and it also won't become outdated because payday 2 is finished.
Good video as always mate. I got bored of the game since level 131, as trying to do challenges was so tiring, but this got me to boot it up again and play it for abit.
its so i've basically been running the endless mosconi build since launch like you had some deviation in attachments and skills but the core concept of endless mosconi and revolver exact same. also i agree the bison and castigo are literally the best guns in the game right now all the other pistols are so slow and hard to hit heads on (the only way to really do damage) they aren't the second primary weapon they where in pd2 and in a majority of situations i'd rather find cover and reload than switch weapons cause the other pistols are so shit on loud
I feel like you could've used the hostage cqc build for the SOLO OVERKILL challenge, but i guess it probably would've been pretty cheesy depending on how you played it. It's really nice how cops sometimes just drop whatever they are doing and ignore your friend just to bash you, kinda how shock and awe stops cops from shooting for a bit. Maybe a full no armor solo overkill challenge run to really stick it to armor builds would be fun incase the next update takes like 10 years. Too bad they didnt add true no armor as an option yet though.
Trust me trying to do standard lining on overkill is a pain hell I have light armor and even then my armor gets taken in like 3 shots So for anybody doing challenges this one is pain sure if you're using armor bags it's a little bit better but still those 6 plates will get drained really fast like standard lining gets taken in 2 shots from even the basic swats it's not worth it
the human riot shield doesnt work too well on xbox because when you have police officer hostage and try to reload your character gets stuck between reloading and trying to take down the cop i hope they fix this in a later update it doesnt happen though with civilians
