Missed opportunity to go for speedrun challenges for Scout. You could've set yourself a time limit per mission based on average completion time and made those thresholds a constituent for completing the run. Or at the very least included speed-based achievements like Full Throttle (though for sure a lot of those are probably impossible on DW)

Scout is pretty much the ultimate Dodge build. Fast, hard to hit, and incredibly full of themselves.

Hi, medic main here. For that run, you can try finding a syringe gun mod, but failing that, you can use crossbows, and the syringe melee, in lieu of a bonesaw. bonus poins if melee weapons are cappable of crits. Looking at you, ubersaw. If the bots weren't so blatantly OP you could bring them. Tag Team would be a PERFECT stand-in for the medigun, allowing you to heal one ally at a time. The run could focus on having jokers, or a mod to replace crew AI with a single absolute unit, mimicking the age old pocket medic playstyle.

Medic Challenge Run: I dunno how to set up weapons, but the main gimmick is you get to use the crew A.I. and MUST equip them with weapons that make them relate to a TF2 mercenary. Oh, and nobody is allowed to go into custody.

I think the Luger also would of been fine for secondary cause of the Lugermorph pistol in tf2
Yeah but it's kinda cheating, it's a reskin of the pistol which is still pretty low damage in TF2
Completely forgot about the throwing axes for this run, acting as Flying Guillotines to help conserve ammo.
In any case, this is pretty close to my favorite build, being Breaker primary and pistol/revolver secondary for that fast-paced, DPS or nothing build. I don't even take jokers, just dumping all 120 points into crits, Frenzy, Trigger Happy, and Overkill Aced for that full damage that works even at range. The only difference is that I usually run Anarchist, Sociopath, or Copycat, which I take Fully Loaded Aced instead of Frenzy Aced to make ammo economy trivial and get throwables back all the time.

This happened to me too! I came back to Payday after about a YEAR, decided to do a crime spree, and immediately failed as there just, was nowhere to assemble it!
This is fun as always, glad these are still going on! Really do hope someday we can get a "canon only" run of 4 players using the main 4 heisters using only their specific decks *and* skill tree pages (restricting yourselves to a page each should be interesting), as well as only weapons they're shown to use in promotional artwork/videos, with Hoxton and his skill tree only being accessible post-breakout. Probably needs some kind of stipulation that "no, the other 3 players aren't allowed to wait around in stealth while Houston does all the work" too. And if you really want to push it over the line of "all canon", The Secret would really be fun to fully explore.
The into makes me think this is how brits feel when we mock their accent. Really puts things into perspective.

Two classes left. The medic and the soldier
a shovel, a shotgun, a rocket launcher and that one community mask (ww2 helmet)
heres a pitch for medic:
-you can use primary grenade launchers, gl40 or the piglet, equipped with the viper grenade ammunition (since there is no medigun in payday 2, i decided to improvise by turning the healing over time to damage over time, and since pyro has fire damage covered, we are forced to use something more "medically professional")
-you can use the tatonka, pachett l2a1, the signature, or the pistol crossbow in your secondary (you could probably change the 3 smgs to fit in more with the syringe gun look, but keep the pistol crossbow)
-as for melee, you can use the syringe, the kunai, and the lumber lite l2 (i suppose a chainsaw is better than no saw, yeah? kunai is just for the poison)
-throwables should ideally be the viper grenade, although you could use the kingpin injector or the leech ampule
-perk deck could be grinder, kingpin or leech
for the medic i was thinking of you doing a blutsauger run (grinder) where u are only able to use specific smgs of similar firerate as the syring gun

Medic idea: you must play with team AI and you must not get them into custody on loud.
Weapons: anything that stuns or helps AI
Melee: Syringe
Essential skills: medic and support skills
For the Medic, the Needle gun could be basically any pistol with fléchettes (has to be fléchettes) you can also use the crossbows as Medic do have those. Bonesaw could be the saw or any serrated melee weapon, as for the medigun... I... got noffin. Nothing like that in the game, but if there was, I'd say you would HAVE to use crew AI so you could heal them with it :D
i just know this will be amazing! For a change from the TF2 Class series, you could try a full run with the content-filled Restoration Mod! It has a lot more in terms of progression meaning difficulty is less of a "increase the enemy health and damage" to "there's actual differences that you don't need a stat spreadsheet to play and enjoy". Oh and starting at something like Very Hard or Overkill and slowly working your way up to Death Wish or even Death Sentence (as a mediocre player it is quite an enjoyable challenge) oh and allowing a single bot for help, downs are somewhat less permament.
If anything, the scout should be allowed to smack people with his gun. The shortstop shove does do damage after all.
I've had the cage glitch also happen to me but it was 10x sadder as on that run i got my first ever open vault on go bank. So i was pretty mad. But next run went fine, of course no open vault... but i hope the payday devs focus a tad bit on payday 2 to fix some bugs.
My scout build uses throwing axes, since I think that's a fair substitute for the flying guillotine. Breaker 12G as the primary, gruber kurz as secondary, throwing axe for throwable, and baseball bat for melee, all set up for max concealment with inner pockets to get me a DR of 6, one concealment point away from max low blow and sneaky B, but such is life. For the perk deck I use copycat maxed out for dodge, which is a little less than fully capped rogue, but the other bonuses are well worth, though I could see not wanting to use copycat on a challenge run.
As far as the skills are concerned I didn't go too far into shotguns, just aceing CQB and impact, I focused a lot more on making the Gruber viable taking at least basic of every skill in the pistol tree except akimbo. The breaker 12g is strong enough on its own and sustains well enough, it's the gruber that needed help but with that help it does enough of the heavy lifting especially when dozers are involved.

Funny thing for me about this video, my main loadout has been named "The Scout" for as along as I have been playing the game and it's because I run a dodge build (making me "fast as fuc boiii") with the Grimm Brothers shotguns. I first made the loadout, played a test game with it, then looked at it and thought to myself: "All this running like a crackhead at the speed of sound combined with these shotguns reminds me of the Scout. Guess I'll name my loadout after him." And it's been like that for years.

i would've imagined throwing knives or throwing axes would be very fitting for the flying guillotine, i guess having an actual cleaver melee weapon makes a lot of sense too though.

I know you substituted The Winger for a Deagle, but to be honest you could've used the Parabellum for the Lugermorph.
I know it's just a reskin, but it's fair!
So my idea for a medic run:
•You can only use crossbows and saws for your attacks
•AI crew is allowed, but you have to run perks and skills that bosts crew mates
•If one of your crew goes down, YOU have to be the one to revive them (you are the medic after all)
Just some of ideas
for the medic lets shake it up. A multiplayer challenge, you get 3 friends who choose their favorite merc and follow their rules you set up for them in the earlier videos Your job. Keep them alive or out of custody as much as possible, for stealth heists they stay back like the Ai. weapons could be the crossbows and saw melees if this is to be mod light
I hope if he does this that atleast one of his friends likes heavy just so he can recreate the iconic moment from meet the medic
Don't forget to include the poison syringe so that he can call himself a harmassist.

the medic i would love to see a collaboration type of thing where you have someone leel up along side you who may or may not have never played the game before, would work great if they were a medic main in tf2 and your only job is to provide faks and other support skills and using the first perk deck(can't remember the name) to give them buffs and support. maybe limit yourself to only a crossbow or smg as a weapon to mirror the medics poison crossbow, nothing too powerful though. The challenge would be on the same difficulty but you have to also teach someone how to play payday 2

I think for a medic run, you should look for the most awful and brutal weapons that could arguably hold some sort of "medical" value.
Maybe something like the compressed air cannon testing the human body's resistance to a strong amount of force. I guess you could also use crossbows, because of the Crusader's Crossbow.
The medic as a character is all about the difference between surgery and mutilation, and it'd be interesting to see that reflected in the game!
I hope others are noticing all the weapon name puns written for these. "I'm a Fan of War" on the train heist was especially good
Heres hoping overkill stops trying to destroy their IP so we can still get golden payday content from 2 and hopefully one day 3 when they realise that they had the perfect formula they didnt need to adandon, sure touch up but not scrap.

Honestly it makes sense that your scout run is gonna be the one least bothered by snipers. In TF2 scout is often considdered a soft counter to sniper.
A Medic try would have to be a multiplayer run where all healing must come from you. Other build limitations should be dependent on if you got a skilled crew of players, or those whom have barely ever gone beyond Overkill difficulty.
Medic’ll be either battle medic or crew AI jank will come back in a whole new way.
I think for the Medic run, it could be something with three other people willing to play with you in a lobby. You have to make sure none of them go into custody while you yourself can't be revived if downed? It sounds like hell, but it definitely fits the idea of Medic being the only way the TF2 team can even still be alive. In my opinion.
idear for medic you have to grab 3 friends which have to do choose one of the other classes and follow there rules apart from only being alowed to heal by things deployes by you/tag team. or just tag team with jokers
my thoughts:
Scout gets a sword skin, so the swords are fair game
Cleaver is a throwable weapon so throwing stars are allowed
Mad Milk regenerates health, crit-a-cola is true to its name and Bonk lets you dodge bullets, so the proper way to play is crit-dodge with stoic as a backup
Shortstop is basically a revolver, so the Judge is allowed.

I don't know if you could find a mod to give bots proper healthbars (instead of being the bullet sponges they are now) but for the Medic run if you had to keep some AI crewmates alive (instead of just yourself) that could make a lot of sense. Give some value to decks like Crew Chief or even Soulmates (or whatever the H3H3 perk deck is called.)
For the Medic, you MUST equip leech and complete the career mode with 3 other players, but those three players must choose one class to play as for the rest of the career mode
To add on to medic, you can only use crossbows and the tantonka smg plus the chicago typewriter

I have some interesting rules for the medic run. Obviously, its gonna be different. Medic's main function is impossible in pd2, after all.
I say, instead of trying to heal people, do what tf2 medics actually end up doing: babysitting morons, hoping they do what they are supposed to.
Since medic is a team player by design, im thinking that this run should be done with either bots on but on +1higher difficulty setting(if solo), or (even better) with real players that are forced to abide by the rules of previous class challenges of their choice, but on DS only from start to finish.
Your only ranged weaponry are crossbows + airbow (possibly laced with poison) and the poison syringe for melee(dont think there are bonesaws in the game and medic is all about syringes). This would force medic into a support role, while still allowing decent damage potential when required, just as in tf2.
Medic would be a fantastic celebration of this series and a farly fun (if painful) finale.
Oh, and if it becomes too easy, go DSOD after reaching lvl 80. Have fun!

I'm not sure HOW a Medic run would even work. SMGs and crossbows only? Can only bring FAKs and doctor bags? Soldier would be equally odd. Shotguns and rocket launchers seem pretty straight forward, but you used the latter a fair bit in the Demoman run, so it brings up questions on what you'd be allowed to use.
With Medic, a co-op run with someone else running a themed build around one of the TF2 mercs might fit. More or less, you playing support while relying on the crossbow (with no explosive bolts) and anything in the game that might resemble the Syringe Gun. There is a syringe weapon that'd be a close fit for one of the Medic's considered melee weapons from TF2's development.
Unsure what else with that. Do admit that Medic will be the hardest to conceptualize in Payday 2 because he's the only purely support character in TF2.
You could have used the Parabellum for both Scout and Engi, as there is a pistol in TF2 called the Lugermorph.

Since the Scout does shove people around while holding the Shortstop, and he doesn't drop it when doing so, using the gun butt is perfectly acceptable and doesn't compromise the integrity of the run

Challenge idea: Can you beat payday 2 with Disposable weapons.
Each primary, secondary, melee and throwable can only be used once. Each day of a multi day heist requires a separate set of weapons. Failing and restarting a heist with the same load out is fine. Failing a heist and returning to base to change load out results in the old weapons being left behind and thus unusable.
The airbow may be a good option if you do a medic run next.
Challenge Idea:

Rules:
- Complete PAYDAY 2's Career Mode (Duh)
- Play as The famous Boulder Puncher of Resident Evil Himself, Chris Refiled
- Can only Deal Damage with Pump Action Shotguns, The Bernetti 9(Stand in for the Samurai Edge), High Power Magnum Revolvers, Knives, Fists and The Commando 101 (All Weapons from RE1 and it's GameCube Remake)
- Throwables Like the Incendiary Grenades, Frags and Concussion Grenades are Allowed (All are Grenade Types from RE5)
You know the rest of the rules, Up to you if you choose to do this Idea, to bring back Life Lines or not.
Before any asks "Why only the Weapons from RE1 and the RE1 Remake?". That game's Weapons are the Most Iconic to the Series IMO, and let's be real, if we included ever weapon from Every Game Chris was playable in, Kknowley would have literally access to every gun in PD2's Arsenal.

Do this one last.
Get your friends to play as other TF2 Classes.
Cannot directly kill enemies with anything but crossbows, saws, and the nail Stormer gun thing.
If possible, increase the player count for the servers to 9.
