Solido LeMans hat trick. Ferrari, Jaguar, Panhard. Full renovation.

In 1957, the Solido company initiated the sale of models with suspension on a scale of 1: 43 with great results. The first of them was the Jaguar D Type Le Mans. After the success of this model, many more real cars were created. Today I present to you three Solido racing cars: Jaguar, Ferrari and Panhard. Since they all took part in the Le Mans race, I decided to dedicate one of my films to them. I got all the models for restoration from a friend in Portland. The models were damaged but complete. The Jaguar's only drawback was the plastic driver that was falling apart. He was replaced by a driver from Corgi's Maserati. A big problem was to recreate the copies of the boxes in which these models were packed. But I finally managed to create representations and print them in a digital printing house. Absolutely wonderful...times THREE! These rare Solido race cars don't surface all that often. As a viewer, if you get one restoration of a cool race car amidst trucks and commercial vehicles you're lucky. But THREE!?? It never happens like this!! The quality of the examples of these rare Solido racers is very high. Your starting ugly ducklings were very rough...but beautiful SWANS emerged!!❤❤❤ Wonderful!!

Bravo Paul. Splendide restauration de modèles Solido anciens des 24 heures du Mans. La DB Panhard était une voiture française. Elle devrait être de couleur bleue. À cette époque les voitures participaient sous leurs couleurs nationales. Les voitures françaises étaient en bleu. Les italiennes étaient en rouge et les anglaises en vert. Les allemandes étaient gris métallisé et les américaines étaient blanches.

Lovely restoration, but, from the period these cars are from, each country had different identity colours - Britain was Green; Italy, Red; Germany, Silver, and France, Blue. Surely, then, the French Panhard should have been blue? They still look lovely, but I can only wonder. 👍👍👍

This has nothing to do with Panhard but with the country the car was Build and was driving for : Italian:Red ,German :white or Silver,Britisch :Green ,French : Blue and so on These are just the Four Most Seen in These time and Goes back until almost the start of European Car racing

1/43 - стандартный масштаб для советских моделек, в том числе) Правда, тут речь идет о буржуйских модельках) В СССР такое могли привозить только или дипломатические работники, или моряки дальнего плавания)) Ну или если кому-то повезло по турпутевке выехать в капиталистическую страну - могли там приобрести. В 80-е годы стали популярны рейсы дальнобойщиков от организации Совтрансавто, они ездили за кордон, основные направления все равно были в страны соцлагеря и СЭВ, но иногда удавалось делать рейсы и за пределы, например, в ФРГ, Францию, Италию. У моего одноклассника отец как раз там работал, привозил ему модельки из загранки, мы завидовали))

А еще этот же батя одноклассника нам всем - ну, друзьям его сына - привозил в подарок кучу жвачек с вкладышами, и это было круто! Для самого конца 80-х! Турбо, Бомбибом, Лав из, и другие названия - ностальгия)) Потом, с начала 90-х, это все стало и в России продаваться, и уже было не так интересно) Просто, когда их привозил батя одноклассника, мы чувствовали принадлежность к некоему закрытому клубу, что ли)) Типа, не у всех такое есть) А когда это всё появилось в продаже - азарт исчез.
