I think the public ip isnt that big of a deal right, like i think he can change it and anyways, no one is gonna go and try to hack into the account of a guy who makes fivem tutorials
@@realmrjangoon He can't change it but a public IP is only near you within I think it was like 40 miles
They changed it, run.cmd no longer exists.
change your code in starter.bat to..
cd /d C:\Users\yourname\Desktop\server\cfx-server-data-master
C:\Users\yourname\Desktop\server\FXServer.exe +exec server.cfg

For anyone with the problem of NOT opening listen here!
First make a text document and don't rename it!!
Open it put the cd /d blah blah
and when you are ready click on SAVE AS,then select all files and then rename it to .bat
THIS WORKED FOR ME AND PROBABLY WILL FOR YOU!

BTW if ur starter.bat file opens up and then immediatly closes make sure you run an anti-malware scan beacause there might be a malware blocking the command prompt, at least that's what was happening to me.
If your ".bat" doesnt work and cmd does'nt pull up to start the server make sure that the main folder doesnt have any spaces and if it does use a "_"(underscore) or try making a extra folder to start off with, not directly on your desktop.
when I do a .bat it doesnt change it to a batch folder
when on the folder click view at the very top then click file name extensions

Edit: Sorry I don't know any workaround but if there is ANY type of spacing in the file link(?), it will not work. Sorry I can't help more.
If your starter.bat opens and closes immediately, move the file to your C: Drive (C:\).
Edit your .bat and paste this in:
cd /d C:\[filename]\cfx-server-data-master
C:\[filename]
un.cmd +exec server.cfg

If your starter.bat closes then make sure the name of the folder doesn't have a space!

im getting an error it says that i sont have my sv_licence key set but i do
I had the same problem and fixed it! Your server.cfg hasn't been switched back to a .cfg file. Since you put it as server.cfg in the bat file it looks for that. However, since we turned it into a .txt file to add text it keeps it as server.cfg.txt. Just remove the .txt at the end and you should be fine!
When I start "starter.bat" I get error "The program can't start because MSVCP140.dll is missing from your computer". I have windows 8.1 and correct directory. What can I do?
If you have the sessionmanager thing do this

download icecon connect you your server using ip and rcon password (this can be set/found in your server.cfg, be sure to un comment it) after that type " restart sessionmanager " edit, if you dont delete its cache then you wont have to do this again.

I remeber when i were younger, and created an Minecraft server. This is kinda the same
Creating a Minecraft server is 1000 times easier tho XD
Back in my day, we set up SAMP servers and wrote scripts in Pawn instead of Lua. Though as above, a lot easier.
Minecraft is so much Easier, but then compare FX Server to ESX

so i got to run the starter.bat the box opens and closes itself in a micro second it doesn't stay open like yours does. what did i do wrong?

look in the description, you might have spaces in your directory folders, or when you added the "
un.cmd" you done "/run.cmd"
he also added a comment explaining it

Try getting rid of the spaces in the root folder "Five M Server" to "FiveMServer" Worked for me

@@connorsmith7411 That works for me!, change folder name... example: from-> E:\GTA 5 Server... to-> E:\GTA5Server... And obsly change the route in the bat file too...

Pause at the end of the bat file. Last line should be pause so it doesn’t close.

Must be in OS drive if running with this start.bat (the C: Drive). Add PAUSE to the end if you want to see error output.

@@trck5639 found a possible solution bit the server config on the top there's a line on numbers that looks like an up the last 5 didgets you have to use as a port forward for UDP and TDPand may or may not have to add it to your firewall (I had to)

Is there a way to play FiveM by myself without having to make a server? I want to mess around without anyone in the server I am in, but I cant figure out how. (I just downloaded FiveM today, so I have no idea how to do anything)

I got the same thing, I think u have to redownload the visual C++ or something, i dont have a link for u but i downloaded visual C++ redistributable from 2015 to 2019 and it worked. sorry if this doesnt work though
Hi! I found the problem: When the video was created, the server required the 2017 version of visual c++, but now, you need to get the 2019 in order to succeed. Here's the link: aka.ms/vs/16/release/VC_redist.x64.exe

Go to this site: www.dll-files.com/ and search the dll file u need. Then download it and place it where u need it :) Hope it works :)

my starter didn't work at first because i copied then pasted, removed the shortcut and put my own in, yet that didn't work it did work though when I deleted it all and just wrote it down work by word
