There is one more detail, now this isn't my observation but I heard this on " The Internet Said So" Podcast. Where it was remarked that when you have a limited actor (or debuting) you surround said actor with other great actors so they can do the heavy lifting while also covering some of the limited actor's flaws. This was a stroke of genius by Sriram Raghavan and the casting director. I also don't mean to undermine Neil Nithin Mukesh but this was his debut film so it is expected that his acting wouldn't be as advanced and he would have limits.
0:39 fun fact, i recently observed that an earlier version of this exact mileage line was used in raiders of the lost arc when they're in the ship trying to bring back the arc...
The film is a gem for film nerds bcoz it has been made by one. It is the perfect homage to stylistic noir and black comedy films while still feels rooted in Indian sensibilities. It is India's Pulp Fiction imo, sadly it was not hyped or promoted that way by the industry and press at the time.
Kitna off the topic baat karoge... Johnny Gaddar 2007 ki classic crime thriller thi... 2007 me aisa masterpiece indian movies me dekhne nahi milta tha...
#BoycottAbbas & #BoycottUrjita for not having watched Johnny Gaddaar and still hosting has it aged well.. We want Siddhaarth to be new host of Has it aged well...!!! Or Anupam to host !
@@sharam5614haan urjita bas bakchodi ke liye, usko Cinema ke baare mein ghanta knowledge hai aur action thriller film mein woh action scenes aur gore scenes skip karke dekhti hai, kya murkh stree hai

They did use the Alzheimer. That confusion of her made Govind Namdeo's character believe that the Nurse and Daya is running away with the money.
Back when this movie got released, i promoted it so extensively among my friends that they started calling me 'Gaddar.'
Thank u urgita fr mentioning GHANCHAKKAR it's one of my favorites
There was an alternative ending in the DVD

The suspense is reverse where the audience know the killer but characters in the movie don't know why and what is happening
