    What did they expect to happen with all those houses built on an sandbar??? The people who live their have a problem if anyone sets foot on their property and don't want the public allowed to use the beach in front of their properties...while they have no problem trying get tax payers to save them from the risk they knowingly took out of vanity... They shouldn't get a dime of tax payer money... 💥

    Signs of the times I'm afraid, can't expect government to keep fighting this losing battle. I suspect it will have to be left to nature.

    One of my families vacation homes is there. I hope the government comes in and restores the sand dunes quickly.

    Wow, probably should have never built homes on this small spit of land, low elevation and narrowness does not bode well for those homes. And tax dollars should not be used trying to fix this, as I don't see it as fixable. You build there, you live with the consequences.
