- Chiang Mai, Thailand - Wow, definitely one of my best travel experiences so far in Thailand! I went to one of the local street food stalls in Hang Dong.
When I arrived, I immediately struck up a conversation with one of the friendly locals. Next I ordered a Larb Moo for the first time. While I waited, I ate noodles with pork. They were absolutely amazing.
Before I tried the Larb Moo, I tried my hand at slicing the meat, which was fun. I told the man he could eat in my place and I would finish the work. He didn't let me, haha.
The people were super nice and shared their food with me. I felt like they treated me like family even though we had only known each other for 20 minutes. I tried their Nam Phrik which was super delicious.
Before heading home, I got a massage from the guy I was sharing my food with. Apparently he needed 20 baht for a whiskey, haha. It was a great experience eating here with the locals. The kindness is incredible :)
Just as I was about to finish the video, my friend came by on his bike. He invited me to his home. He introduced me to his wife, dogs and all his lovely smelling herbs.
What an experience. Can't get better than this. ☺️

- You can inform them when you don't want to eat raw pork that " kor larb suk suk dai mai krab " , it is mean " Could you please to cook larb moo ?".
Normally , they have a pan for cooking and for people that don't want to eat raw pork larb.

Gang liang leaves Actually, Gang liang is the name of Thai veggie clear soup with shrimp. The leaf that you really smell is Hairy basil leaves are a type of basil leaves. which is an important ingredient in this curry And the third one you smell is Kra prao or holy basil leaves and the last one is kaffir lime leaves.
And the minced pork salad should be well cooked. If it's beef or buffalo, you can eat it raw. Northern Thai people prefer to eat buffaloes more than cows.

Many foreigners thought Thailand is underdeveloped country and come to see it, Then they disappointed because they only stay in place like Bangkok, Phuket, Pattaya, Chaingmai where plenty tourist facilities and modernized. Actually if they just travel off the main road like you they will find what they want. Lovely warm-heart local Thais everywhere especially rural area.
