Kind Lady Treats me Like Family | Chiang Mai Market 🇹🇭

- Chiang Mai, Thailand - In this video I visit a local market about 10 minutes from Chiang Mai. It's a very local market called Ton Phayom market. This market starts from the early hours all the way until the night. On this market you can find fruit, vegetables and some amazing local Thai meals.
To start off my market stroll I bought a snack, some Thai sausage or Sai Ua.
Next I went on a hunt for some fruit and bought Mangoes and Rambutans.
At the rambutan stall I met a very kind lady who showed me the way to a famous dish called 'Kaeng Hang le Moo'.
After I ordered, I asked her if she knew where I could sit down to try this wonderful dish. She told me that I could just sit in her shop. This nice woman bought me sticky rice, gave me water and some tomato paste to try. We sat together for a while and had a lovely conversation. I have to say Thailand has one of the warmest hospitality in the world.

This reminds me of the time when I studied in Chiang Mai for 3 years long time ago. Gang Hung Le, Kao soi, Moo Sa Te, Numprik Orng, Sai Aua are my favorite northern food as well.
I know Kao soi very well. Had it 10 days in a row 😅 I didn’t try Moo Sa Te yet. Next time! Thanks for the food tips 😋
@@travelwithjulius Kao Soi is the northern food I like most too. It's not easy to find in other parts of Thailand. Many Thai people from other parts don't know Kao Soi or have never eaten it before. I live in middle part around 700 kilometers far away. I would like to eat Kao Soi as much as I can too if I have a chance to return to Chiang Mai once again. But I don't think I can break your record. LOL
I have never visited Uttaradit yet. Are there many Kao Soi shops there?
@@reallove16121969 Oh wooow they don’t have it in BKK? Haha Unbreakable record 😂 Yes there are just a couple shops in Uttaradit that sell Khao Soi 😁 The one in Hang Dong is amazing. They add some extra chicken balls haha.
@@travelwithjulius There are some Kaosoi shops in Bangkok because it is capital city where people from all parts come to live together, but it is not easy to find a kaosoi shop in other provinces that are not in northern part of Thailand. I have not found any in my province. When I want to eat kaosoi, I have to buy some ingredients on the internet from Chiangmai or Lampang, and then cook it by myself.

I like Hang Le too, it's eat with rice.
Normally, Thai people eat Hang Lay curry with rice.
We won't eat only curry, because the taste is too strong. So eat with rice together.

บางทีก็ไม่เข้าใจว่า ทำไมคนไทยต้องพูดภาษาอังกฤษกับต่างชาติ ทีต่างชาติไม่พูดภาษาไทยกับคนไทยบ้าง ดูไม่เท่าเทียม อยากให้คนไทยพูดภาษาไทยกับคนต่างชาติ แล้วคนต่างชาติพูดภาษาอังกฤษกับคนไทย น่าจะดีมากๆ
