- The new FMS FCX24 Lemur has received both praise and critiques from the RC community. While a fun rig right out of the box, with a few new parts I decided to modify my Lemur to improve both its appearance and performance. The result was an even greener Lemur with much better capabilities over a variety of terrain. Hopefully this video is informative and helps inspire you to customize your own FCX24 rig!

Great video! I’ve been wanting to buy one, so this gives me an idea On how to improve a couple of things 😃
I added an Injora 180/48t motor for the FCX to my FCX24 Blazer and it gave a slight increase in speed but feels more powerful and fits well. Did have a little bit of less battery life after that. It’s not a big change but for $14 gave it a more solid feel without changing the driving experience radically. Low speed crawling control seems about the same with a little more grunt. Just FYI.

I agree with you on the stock fcx transmission it does feel a little underpowered, I Custom fit an fms 2speed to my all metal rc4wd galande 2, love the lemur keep it up👍

Nice build. My only concern is the linkage looks like it would hang on everything.
And definitely 60/40 to 70/30 weight bias is a huge asset.
Yeah there's always at least some compromise. That's a good point for choosing the smooth one-piece links over these adjustable ones, especially if you're building a comp rig. I'm already noticing a big improvement with the front weight bias but I'll fine tune it more in the spring.

Thank you! I wasn't crazy about it in stock form, but after these mods it's a lot more enjoyable to drive. If you're patient, I've seen the Lemur on sale from time to time priced closer to $100. It's a bargain at that price, but still a good value at $150. 👍
I wonder if you could use 1/24 scale slot car tires on these cars.
