If not, how can you explain about the decrease in vocation, wedding in Church, infant baptism,... and St. Padre Pio was totally anti-VII. After VII, many churches were remodeled and become less beautiful. Some church art is too ugly, and blasphemous too. More than 50 years of VII, 70% of US Catholics don't believe in the Real Presence in the Eucharist. After VII, many priests even begin to have Mass celebrated for pagan feast. And there many more. May the Holy Ghost give you the gift of discernment !

If there was to be any hope of union with the Anglican and Episcopalian Churches then the wording and the theology of the Tridentine Mass had to be changed. Just look at the difference in the offertory prayers between the Tridentine Rite and the Novus Ordo rite. The Placeat tibi Sancta Trinitas at the end of the Tridentine Mass had to go because the protestant churches did not accept that the Holy Mass was a sacrifice of propitiation for the living and the dead. As Cardinal Ottaviani said in a letter to Pope Paul VI; the Novus Ordo represents, both as a whole and in its details, a striking departure from the Catholic theology of the Mass as it was formulated in Session XXII of the Council of Trent. The "canons" of the rite definitively fixed at that time provided an insurmountable barrier to any heresy directed against the integrity of the Mystery."' If the barrier was an insurmountable obstacle to the much hoped for union with the Anglican Churches and others, then it had to go.

One thing is sure. Pope Francis will never celebrate in the Tridentine Rite. To the best of my knowledge Cardinal Hume of Westminster, London never attended the Masses in the Tridentine Rite celebrated in Westminster Cathedral. He replied to a letter of mine in which I asked for an occasional permission for a Holy Mass to be allowed before the Indult of Pope Benedict XVI, in which he dodge the issue by telling me that it was the reality of the Mass that mattered not the rite.

I don't know about eliminating the Novus Ordo, but the Latin Mass should be offered as one of the Sunday mass forms in the Roman rite. Also don’t forget about other beautiful liturgical forms like Eastern Catholic Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom, for example. I also really Iike the ordinariate mass. These ancient traditional worship masses should at least coexist with newer forms.

The words of consecration are all that's necessary - in dire situations -for us to have the Eucharist, but the entire Mass acts as a vehicle that brings us to a destination. It connects us to God, to each other, to our ancestors, and to the saints. The Mass is a gift from God, bequeathed to His Church under the guidance of the Holy Ghost. The entire thing "matters".
It's not a catholic deed. The Divine Liturgies of the East are valid Masses, the liturgy of the Vatican II is a valid liturgy, the Mass celebrated in the time of the catacombs, which was poorest in rites because of the persecution, was valid. A catholic cannot accept just one liturgy.
Beautiful holy Mass. All Catholic Masses should be said in Latin with the traditional form. It was the only Mass for 2 millennia. 2nd Vatican Council ruined it.
I am eager to see someone take the initiative for starting an "Unending Marathon Massive Sweeping Prayer Service" for the souls in purgatory, be it through video church-wise or countrywise, the modalities of which may be worked out by either the clergy (either by God's Cottage) or by any of the faithful interested in making a beeline for it. Anyone may, if interested may put forward her or his suggestions to give the scheme a thumping start. It just occurred to my mind but surely someone must come forward with the way to go about it. A few days back (viz.25.11.21) I got up early at 6 o'clock and made a two-second fervent prayer looking at Jesus image saying "Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on usha - forgive her sins - purify her soul in your precious blood and grant her eternal salvation - also give me a glimpse of her once for my consolation". As I reclined back to bed usha was lying there in bed. As I moved to touch her she gestured to me not to and in a few seconds disappeared. Usha is in purgatory Jesus Christ showed me that He is merciful He loves us He listens to us and acts lenient. This much for now. Fr. Agnes: Thanks for sharing this testimony.
There are still people who claim this is showy gibberish. Little do they know that daily masses before V2 were requiem masses, and many parishes had a catafalque. The format we see here is that for November 2.
So my understanding to it is not for the fact that it is a requiem mass, but if we take a look at what a sermon is, its technically not part of the rubric of the mass. No where is it stated that a sermon must happen within the mass, it is customary. So if we see it as optional, it is technically an interruption of the mass. The chasuble is a garment reserved for the mass, since the mass is being interrupted, the chasuble is removed as a result. Some priests make the sign of the cross to signify a pause in the mass and then at the end make the sign of the cross again to show its over. And in some cases East and West the sermon is at the end of mass so people can go freely as they need without any further interruption. After the sermon, the priest puts on the chasuble and continues with the mass as followed! Hope this helps :)

I watch a video of an old Mass, like it was done in Medieval times and the priest did that. So much symbolism in Catholicism, I am sure it symbolizes something.

The Deacon stands on the right of the priest so it is the Deacon that is wearing the maniple. In all my years as a sacristan till 1966 I don't remember putting out a maniple for the Deacon when I laid out the vestments for a High Mass. When the celebrant priest gave the sermon he removed his maniple.
When I was sacristan and altar served I would dip my finger into the Holy Water font as we entered the sanctuary and touch fingers with the priest briefly who would then bless himself.

This is the Ordinary, no law, no pope, no priest has the authority to change the mass as done in 1965/1969. This is not only infallible, but still binding.

I am, ergo, thinking AT PRESENT, that the Latin Tridentine Mass at that time was the Mass of the cruel friars, also of the criminals of the aristocratic Spanish and Filipino-Hispanic hypocrites at that time down to the next colonization of America, etc. What do you think? Very Rev. Fr Agnes,
Father you are really an angel. You opened up the heavens for my eyes to visualize the infinite mercy of Jesus. After your graceful plea that satan can never claim usha I had got more closer to Jesus -
The day after usha died I prayed for her soul & my guardian angel softly whispered to me that I do not need panic as she will soon be in heaven. The angel also added that St. Mary Magdalene is in heaven so I did not need to worry about her since she is no hardened a sinner.
A few days back (viz.25.11.21) I got up early at 6 o'clock and made a two-second fervent prayer looking at Jesus image saying "Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on usha - forgive her sins - purify her soul in your precious blood and grant her eternal salvation - also give me a glimpse of her once for my consolation".
As I reclined back to bed usha was lying there in bed. As I moved to touch her she gestured to me not to and in a few seconds disappeared.
Usha is in purgatory
Jesus Christ showed me that He is merciful He loves us He listens to us and acts lenient. This much for now.

Why did he remove his chasuble? Ive never seen a priest remove his chasuble for a sermon before, is it because it is a requiem mass?
So my understanding to it is not for the fact that it is a requiem mass, but if we take a look at what a sermon is, its technically not part of the rubric of the mass. No where is it stated that a sermon must happen within the mass, it is customary. So if we see it as optional, it is technically an interruption of the mass. The chasuble is a garment reserved for the mass, since the mass is being interrupted, the chasuble is removed as a result. Some priests make the sign of the cross to signify a pause in the mass and then at the end make the sign of the cross again to show its over. And in some cases East and West the sermon is at the end of mass so people can go freely as they need without any further interruption. After the sermon, the priest puts on the chasuble and continues with the mass as followed! Hope this helps :)

I watch a video of an old Mass, like it was done in Medieval times and the priest did that. So much symbolism in Catholicism, I am sure it symbolizes something.

The Deacon stands on the right of the priest so it is the Deacon that is wearing the maniple. In all my years as a sacristan till 1966 I don't remember putting out a maniple for the Deacon when I laid out the vestments for a High Mass. When the celebrant priest gave the sermon he removed his maniple.

Yes it is. He is now our Pastor in Pittsburgh. One of the Acolytes is our Parochial Vicar.

When I was sacristan and altar served I would dip my finger into the Holy Water font as we entered the sanctuary and touch fingers with the priest briefly who would then bless himself.

Actually , the reading is correct (It was read st.John 5: 25-29). It is the correct reading for november 2, day of the faithful departed. EWTN made the mistake.

Why do they celebrate the Traditional Catholic Requiem Latin Mass of the Roman Rite in the protestant table of the novus ordo missae and not in the Traditional Altar where the relics of Sts. Peter and Paul among others are situated in the Altar.

he is using the proper tone for a requiem mass, which is intentionally different from the normal tone that you are probably looking for

Unfortunately, during the Spanish colonization here in the Philippines where abuses of the civil and the Church authorities were rampant with impunity during those times for more or less 400 years, THE HOLY MASS used to have been celebrated as LATIN TRIDENTINE MASS.
I am, ergo, thinking AT PRESENT, that the Latin Tridentine Mass at that time was the Mass of the cruel friars, also of the criminals of the aristocratic Spanish and Filipino-Hispanic hypocrites at that time down to the next colonization of America, etc. What do you think? And what are the differences in terms of spiritual benefits as provided by the New Order of the Mass Did or does the HOLY MASS whether it’s been the Latin Tridentine Mass or the New Mass MAKE USHOLY?

Even the Lord's prayer people don't pray, only the priest, it is a shame. That's a prayer of all who are baptized and children of God.
Historically, the priest was the only one to chant the Lord's Prayer in the Mass of the Roman Rite, this goes back to St. Gregory the Great in the 6th century and testifies to it as a pre-existing and unique Roman custom. This custom is older than the rituals of Palm Sunday, the Paschal Candle, the Offertory Prayers, the Prayers at the Foot of the Altar, Corpus Christi, and many more cherished features of the Roman Rite.
