Surely the rules to entering and staying will change a great deal in the next 6 months or less. The coup government will either be changed with new elections or the southern coast will be returned to Russia. In June the visa requirements for entery to all regions of Russia will be simplified but even now, a 3 year visa is available for Americans. The new visa policy will be simplified and valid for 6 month stays for passport holders from any country. It has not been decided yet on whether it will be visa free or a simply on-line application like was tested starting in 2019 by filling out an on-line application and a modest fee that was tested for several regions such as St Petersburg. Tourism in general dropped a great deal with Covid so few people actually used it.
I used to visit Odessa fairly often until 4 years ago, my last trip. I like the city, it is the largest city that retained its Russian roots and would more open and safe than other cities but is was also overrun with US and UK truck drivers who believed the stories of fat poor men getting desperate supermodel 18 girls. That last time I have my GF fly to Kiev and we both stayed 2 months. It was pretty obvious very few attractive girls were left, after the EU opened easy access by Ukraine "tourist" to enter,and the flood of young people who escaped ever returned. But in their place, the city was filled with Turkish young men waling in groups of 3-6 looking in vain for the famous easy model like girls....which was a well cultivated myth in the first place. I had been going to Ukraine since the 90s and the whole mailorder bride scam was active from very early. My prior GF living in St Petersburg had most of her family from Donbas so we visited many times there, and like so many we sent money every month to her relatives because the elderly were really poor and their were few services. I had a successful small business in St Petersburg so it was not a problem sending $300 a month that took care of food costs for a number of people. Almost everyone I knew who had relatives back in Ukraine were sending money to help support them. I have been in 92 countries and dates in most of them. Nice attractive feminine girls are everywhere, except North America and Europe, and in larger cities of Ukraine and a few others where scams are the norm. Finding a village girl is a better prospect but they are less likely to be found unless you speak the language and really know its culture. I have not dated a women from my own USA in 30 years and have almost nothing in common with them, and I have lived outside the US for a long time, 23 years in St Petersburg and love it.
The most common reason for western men to travel to any countries is to find better women than they can find at home but they are usually naive in thinking that their passport makes them more attractive. An attractive girl is sought but thousands of guys if she posts a photo on IG, so they milk it for, the main thing they are looking for is travel and money. I warn men all the time, do not bother with a foreign partner unless the man moves to her country, and telling her that before any real or imaged relationship. Two reasons, very simple, if she IS what she says she is, she will be thrilled that you move to her where her family is and one can have a very good low cost of living life with no debt. But that only interests sincere girls who has values other than money. A western man who is flexible will have a much better life outside of the US, if the adopt the culture of their partner. Western men are deeply in debt regardless of their income and that debt service constrains someones life and options but they have been told they are the rich and superior to those who earn little but have more direct life, without debt. I gave everything away, successful businesses, houses, many cars, an airplane etc and left in 2000 with two suitcases and $6000 and it was the best quality of life change that could be imagined. Starting with with zero in a country I did not know the language and had nothing had been an exciting low stress adventure where I felt so lucky to have made that transition so with zero monthly bills and little money the options are more than for those with regular income but buried in contracts, fees, debt etc. Most Americans for example, are dirt poor with no disposible income after paying time payments and fees for everything in life. Most Americans earning $50,000 to $100,000 a year have no savings and have about 100 monthly bills or deductions so a trip to Ukraine to find a hot 19 year old means putting it all on a credit card to be paid off over months or years. Those girls from the villiage who are pure of heart and family values have no clue about debt so when they hear their truck driver boyfriend makes $90,000 a year does not realize he is poorer than she is. She had little but needs little, he has a negative net worth and will be in debt his entire life. That is the number one cause of all those mail order bride marriages failing. The girls have a different understanding from the point of view of having no debt, and his $90,000 gets chewed up every month way before she has a chance to buy that $800 Italian handbag. If life was free and easy, the guy would still be married or could have found someone he was compatible with in his own neighborhood. That is why I tell men to not even consider finding a girl to take her back to their "rich" lifestyle because she is dazzled by the assumption of having a life of luxury when $90,000 below the cost of living, so they will never be free of debt. The man moving to her, and adopting her culture will mean better odds of a happy relationship and it REALLY is better for the man also. He will have access to health care he never did, or have access to culture. I tell girls who say they are talking to some western guy, to ask him for details of the last opera he attended or which drama he has experienced. He has no access to culture, she does and knows its value in molding a culturedperson. He watching football onTV and knows only what propaganda media that forms his beliefs.If she isused to great are, music and literature they will have friction from day one due to different values. But there now, a lot of shallow low value girls raised on instagram now in any country. If you meet them on-line is a very different odds of working out, than, say, meeting IN Line to enter a great museums or opera performance. On-line is where shallow relationships to be born. Go met women in person randomly as you both are present doing something that appeals to you. On-line dating apps have a very low success rate and girls have all the advantages in getting attention but they are only interested in the top 3% of men so normal men have not chance and the 2% guys get so much attention they never settle down. 55% of North American adults are single, the highest percentage in history. Birth rates of 0.79 babies per woman means the society is collapsing. 32% of 35 yo males in North America are vigins and likely will never have a partner. 3% of 30 yo females are vigins and only 6% are vigins at age 20, a sharp reversal of historic traditions. That trend is occuring in societies that are addicted to social media all over the world. So fishing in and staying in, the best pool for you. The girl next door is the most compatible person you know, but to get a foreign girl, the odds are poor to last 5 years unless you have a lot more in common than you do now. If you like woman or one particular culture, it is the fast fading traditional values that you are attracted to but within a few years there will no longer be any other universal culture than social media culture. To find a great partner and take her back to the US or Canada or UK will only ruin both of you. She will change in the same way the local girls did, due to the same negative influences that made you and the girl next door unattractive marriage partners. Change yourself by moving to a more balanced, cultured, society and it will change you so you are more compatible with the few remaining feminine and desirable mates. Moving to a difference society and making your own way, becoming stable or successful is a seriously positive trait feminine women would be attracted to. Get off dating apps and social media and meet women who are also off those apps by being out in the community doing things you both enjoy and meet naturally.
If you really have to search in another country, do it in person, not match making sites, move their at least 6 months and live as a local and you will be surrounded by normal women doing the same thing. In person you have the advantage while on social media dating apps you have a very weak hand to play. Good luck but remember you are being played, my your government and media, you will find that everything you are told to believed is pure propaganda and only after being somewhere 4-6 months will you know enough to realize everything you were told was a lie. Right now, the two most dishonest media and countries on earth are the US(and its vassals in EU/UK.Australia/Canada) and Ukraine. But you will only learn that from direct experience but it cures you of believing the BIG lie.
I doubt anything will be returned to Russia and if it is then it would be unattractive to come. Nobody wants anything to do with Russia, not even Russians. Aside from that (and the reference to a coup government) you make some valid points. Hard for us to compete with Russia on the media corruption front though, our media is awful but Russia have been the world leaders in subverting the truth and with their experience nobody is close to competing.

A bit off topic, but when do you think Ukrainian men will be allowed to cross the border? I read there might be a law passed that would allow men to cross border if they make monthly payments to the military.
Difficult question to answer. IMO it will not be possible at least this year for men to easily cross the border.
Regarding crossing the border for monthly payments is complete nonsense. It will never happen as there is no way to regulate that monthly payment procedure, i.e. nobody will pay it on monthly basis anyway.
Would you not just pay the fine immediately as you exit UA, rather than take the fine with you and pay it later (through a lawyer, etc)? Also, would having a fine for overstaying affect any future application for a temporary (or permanent) residency permit, do you know? Thanks.

Only in some airports it was possible and only by card. POS terminals were not operating all the time, so it was a big problem.

@@CymInUA It doesn't matter if you had fines for overstaying or not. Nobody would be taking it into account if you apply for a temporary residence permit.

How about just pay at the airport if there is bank?
Only by card through a POS terminal, which was avaulable in some airports only and not all the time.
Call me crazy. But guys want to move to a country that is in the middle of a war. With most of its major cities being bomb.
Hundreds of thousands of guys are getting scammed every day, believe in almost everything scammers are telling them, some watch my videos and still believe scammers and get scammed.

I wanted to move to western Ukraine but currently prices for appartments have soured snd availability decreased due to refugees moving across.
Still some believe the war won't last forever and the fascists cannot keep up their invasion forever, they can't afford it.
@@Daveyboyz1978 Prices for apartments will rise everywhere as prices for petrol increase and thus prices for food and all other stuff increases, because of that salaries increase and what you could buy yesterday for 20K today may cost 30K and tomorrow will cost 50K.
So, if you want to move anywhere, now is the best and the cheapest choice, tomorrow it will cost more, unfortunately.

As to the prices of petrol, while the west is commiting suicide with its net zero ideas maybe in a few years that may be a very different situation.
I would also wager that when measured against gold and bitcoin the price of property will likely come down so its likely a wiser move to let Ukraine win the war first rather than buy while there are rockets flying around.
If god forbid Ukraine ever enters the EU thats when you will see a huge cost of living increase. I hope to see a free and independent Ukraine within some military unmbrella.
