hi, Taetro! Wonderful performance!
I wonder what device would you recommend to me as the first universal device for mouseless performances with ableton. I like Launchpad X but it has no knobs and is too big. Are Akai APC products worth buying? Ideally I'd with to be able to record beats, notes, record arm/switch/stop scenes/clips and rule params per instrument.

if you look at this performance, you'll see a combination of controllers to achieve a "mouseless" performance. I don't think there's any single controller that can get you completely mouseless - Push would be the strongest candidate.
You can get far with the launchkey mini used here.
Just make sure your expectations are properly set - every controller has it's core functionality and sacrifices when compared to other controllers.
