You don't even need the sniper variant. I've gotten some pretty far kills with the standard iron sights. I'll definitely come back to this gun when I'm not working on unlocks as much.
Its August 2018 and this rifle is a BEAST!! It's so op... 2-3 shot kills, 40 damage per shot close range 20+ rounds, bipod for accuracy... I highly suggest trying this rifle out.

Next patch will probably buff the accuracy as the devs confirmed that right now the Howell DOES NOT have accuracy buffs TTK.2.0 gave the other medic rifles in January. Next patch should give the Howell the TTK.2.0 accuracy buffs.
The British didn't have the doctrine for tactics implementing non infantry battle rifles or anything remote semi-auto DMR-like. It stayed experimental due to the generals being set in their ways. To be fair they had MGs and changing rifle tactics in the middle of the war for aa contraption like that is a hard concept to swallow. It's sooooooooo cool tho
thanks for the tip about using the crate and pouch i did the healing assignment in a single round of operations without realizing it until the end where it showed that i achieved two ribbons for 300 healing in a round.
Finally had time to watch this and have to say that quality is solid. Good Job. I think or for me howell feels that It performs very Well As type of support/defence medic weapon and the use of bi-pod is almost essential. It Can easily grind down an squad if positioned correctly. Cool gun, though they kinda screwed it up. You can see that in rapid fire the gun fires out of battery, the square bit on the bolt needs to go all the way to the right first.
I seriously want dice to add like a legit bow that you can use for all classes. Its gonna be balanced because you will have difficulty trying to kill other players. Although i think the phantom bow from bf4 was pretty easy to use i think it adds uniqueness to the game. I think the addition of a bow or a crossbow would be great for other players to have fun. just my opinion dont go hard on me lol

Even if Farquar had a sniper variant. I would still be using Howell for its bipod.
If thiz weapon was just a little more accurate then it would be a top 5 or 3 medic rifle.

Sniper variant is the only one I can use. But the spread on both is absolutly crap. Can’t use it at max fire rate even at point blank.

I don’t think it was designed with magazine usage, I think it was designed for stripper clips (magazines can be used by they are hard to reload
given that theres a spring that pulls the bolt closed, im gonna say that it'd be hard to reload this thing with clips
