I had all of those same 12 codes. Mafs, o2 sensor. Heater sensor. 0300 random misfiring. 1295 . Bought a new throttle body used from ebay. Erased all codes except 1295 no response in throttle body. When I give accelerator I do get voltage increases readings but butterfly does not move.. nothing.. ? What are the chances the used throttle body position sensor is bad?

Some Kia dealers/parts are now asking $150 for the TPS. RockAuto Parts Geek, and OReilly use the Standard brand. Autozone has TechSmart. TechSmart has the same housing as Delphi. Some Kia have Delphi as OEM. Sometimes I have had Standard brands fail as well as KIA OEM. I'm testing TechSmart on a unit. We'll see. Your Code P1295 is a bad Throttle Body Sensor 99% of the time, just like the man is removing in this video. It happens frequently on this Kia. I've replaced so many of them that I no longer need to remove the hoses (like this man's video) on the bottom of the throttle body. THe hoses are messy and pressure squirts gas most of the time. Instead I do this. 1. disconnect the battery. 2. remove all plastic air intake up to the throttle body. 3. Remove the throttle body itself (early Kia -- 2006-8 has two nuts on the left side and a bolt on the right, not three bolts like the video). On the early models, just wiggle it hard while pulling and it will disengage from the two studs that have the nut fasteners. 4. Let it dangle forward and now you now have plenty of room to use a T-20 head to remove the three screws to that hold the TPS on the throttle body. The rear one is the only tricky one. You have to be experienced (feel confident) at feeling where the screw head is with your left hand and use your right hand to insert the T-20 and unscrew it. A small mirror can show you the set up. 5. Remounting it is reverse. I do the rear one first by holding it with my index finger against the T-20 head and feeling the hold with my left hand fingers guiding it. Boom. It goes right in and you start tightening. Not hard as it sounds. Then do the other two. Snug them down, but it is is plastic, so don't torque it. (If you lack confidence on that, then remove the hoses and do the job outside of the engine and reinstall the whole throttle body and hoses.) Torque the nuts and bolt on the throttle body 16-20 Ft.Lbs or what feels like lifting a 15 lb weight. Done.

TYSM for this. Do a new PCV valve as long as you're in there. DIYing this job is bad for your back bit good for your wallet.😀

The problem with your failed Throttle Position Sensor is that it is not an original Kia part. Your TPS had the brand name Delphi on it, which means that someone replaced the original Kia part prior to you with an aftermarket off-brand part and it failed like the original did. Thankfully for you, your eBay replacement had the genuine Kia brand on it, so it should last another 100k miles. We keep an extra TPS on hand because we know it will fail eventually and we have a goal of 350k miles for our Sedona.

@@steelers2673 Copy that. I found that some later Kia models have Delphi.
