Very well done, the perfect thorough guitar review combined with your transparent tone demonstrations. I'm glad you included neck profile discussion, since that's everything to a lot of us. Hope to see more of these!
Thank you so much my friend, very glad you enjoyed the video. For sure, neck profiles don't always get mentioned but it's often a deal-breaker. Cheers for checking the video out! 🍻
Hola Gabriel , if I’d seen this video before I bought my duality I would have been a hell of a lot more excited, glad I bought it and have started playing it. Funny, I dreamt about it last night and determined to pull up a couple TH-cam vids on it. Totally an awesome guitar and mine sounds just a good as yours. Btw, awesome playing.
tried one of these at a local store and although the sound was cool, just like you showed here, the overall 'feel' of the guitar (neck, frets, bridge, etc) didn't feel as 'high end' as I would've liked it to be (considering the ~1100 pounds initial price). for 430 pounds though it was a damn great deal! you got a new subscriber! abraço 😉
I'd love to have a 6 string with a trem and Fluence Open Core pickups someday so this Cort looks like a great option. Had a look on their website...I still don't understand what they have done in position 4 of the switch. There's a little picture that shows both humbucker coils on but the text 'Voice 3' next to it. And it does describe what you mentioned, a brighter humbucker tone in that position. So they have perhaps somehow managed to get the tonal characteristic of the single coil voicing in humbucker mode? If so I wonder how they did it, whether there's some little trick to doing that, or whether it's a unique feature Fishman have done for Cort. I know many of the Fishman pickups have the 'high frequency tilt' option to reduce some of the high end so I suppose that's another way they could get a brighter humbucker sound, by having the HFT on in all other positions and then turning it off for position 4. But the fact they have specifically mentioned using Voice 3 in humbucker mode makes me think they have done something clever here. They have exact neck dimensions on the website currently too - apparently 19 - 21mm in a U shape. That's actually pretty thin...which is what I personally like. Interesting that you don't find it really thin yourself, just more normal. I have owned the KX507 before and I was impressed how much you got for the money, but it wasn't really special to play. I'd say it played well, better than some other brands at a similar price point, it just didn't have that higher end feel you get from £1000+ guitars. But it may be stainless frets that are making most of the difference on such higher end models, so I would certainly be interested in playing the Duality II to see if it does have that more premium feel.
nice review, hope you can review all x700 series from duality to triality and mutility 😊
Thank you mate. I’d love that, if I see a good deal on them I might work on a comparison

What do you fantastic people think of the Cort X700 Duality II with FIshman Fluence Open Core Classics? Would you get one?

Most guitar players buy only because of the name. Sadly too many are blinded by brand and pro musicians.
What are you playing it through, sounds amazing.
Hi mate, thank you! It's mostly ToneX with a modded plexi profile going through GGD goldstack IRs. For the cleans it's the Neural DSP Soldano. 🍻
If thheadstock said Ibanez instead of Cort people would rave about this guitar. Its a shame how many are brainwashed by name recognition.
For sure mate, absolutely amazing guitars. I'm glad I finally gave them a shot.
100%. I'd buy this over any equivalent priced Ibanez. Ibanez of today pitch their price points and trade heavily on the brand name.
Nice guitar, but for £1100, I'd expect a flaw free aesthetic finish & BQ - no excuses, no exception.
