@ 8:30 this system of serving food is only in some parts of south India.... otherwise its a buffet system where each one has to get up and go up to the buffet and get what they want

I don't know why you would say that. The system of serving on a banana leaf is in all parts of south India. Only in a very few weddings in cities do they have buffets, and even then they still having the system of serving.

SO beautiful and very extravagant. Ash, I loved the silk Kurta on day one. I liked the second one as well, especially the beautiful blue color. Summer, both of your sarees were very lovely. The ceremony were so extravagant like a full on show production.
I thought my wife's and my wedding was kind of crazy... lol. A lot of that is we had a Messianic Jewish wedding and we were both very well liked in the congregation (25 years ago). People kept offering to do things for the wedding, like the leader of the dance team wanted to have dances and hold palm leaves as my wife entered, and so many people wanting to bring different foods for the reception we were going to keep simple, though admittedly, I planned out all the music and put it on a tape for the audio tech, and sang a song to my wife during the ceremony. It was more extravagant than either of us would have planned, but it came together nicely and people were talking about how they had never been to a wedding they felt was so spiritually centered. But this wedding was so much more. 😀 Even production quality light show. You would think it was a Bollywood movie.
I would love the food. I eat my food much spicier than almost anyone I know can handle though. When I cook for other people I have to REALLY tone it down.
It looks like you had an amazing time, and it was a beautiful ceremony and celebration. Thank you for giving us a glimpse into all this. It is so much fun to see and learn.

congrats to the couple💝🎉🌹.due to influence of indian movies🎥(starting 1995 and this generation grown up with those movies📽🎞, songs🎵 🎸etc ) which sometimes copy western things new indian traditions, rituals r added ..here like the 1st day was SANGEET ( dance)bride - groom entry together with young people dancing💃🕺 , fireworks 🎆etc , bride wearing a gown 👗👰that day GAMES🪑etc , main ceremony saptapadi(7 pheras) was awesome ,💍📿 the garland exchanging (jaimala)is also new in south marriages .since india has many states ,ceremonies differ from region to region, religion , languages etc but we r a evolving cultural nation .both of u looked lovely💖, wished for a longer vlog in parts though

Iam from andhrapradesh in marriages or weddings women are varying traditional sprees I.e pattu or parmpari sarees but your Germany wife went to normal saree without gold ornaments it is not fair
And she is not germany now indian she needs to
    Follow indian tradition

Wife here 😊 I actually chose my sarees for the wedding and i loved them. They were from a boutique store and very unique and sparkly and also very comfy material. Easy to dance in

This is not tamil wedding..this is just cinematical wedding. Real one is more grounded. These kind of unnecessary shows spoiling the tradition.

It’s not true that it’s bad to dance. Indian culture is full of dance. We even have dancing god (Nataraja) and all the spiritual traditions in India and even tribes here have their own dance forms. Dancing is exuberance and intensity which are divine qualities.
Thank you for your blessings 😊🙏🏻🌺

all set up and narration you both did was awesome except the part where pundits were chanting the mantras in wedding where if you should have taken some pause and let the viewers to listen the mantras for themselves,it would have been great, rest all was great..keep it up
