Well Lewis *is* in his early forties, so the joke wouldn't have worked, usually they'd make the joke if it was 50s or 60s.

I've never understood this. England still has guns, as off '97 the law changed so they couldn't be sold in normal shops, it has to be a gun shop which tend to be where ranges are. Also, having a mortgage or children etc is still enough of a reason to get a license, since a passport is no longer enough to be able to purchase one. Joining a gun club is enough to get a license too, as long as you're not on benefits (welfare) for just being unemployed. Who knows, 27yrs seems to be enough time for people to forget
Hey! This is from a scenario book that my dad worked on(The things we leave behind!). I love this scenario and sent this video to my dad who likely shared it with this scenarios creator Brian Sammons. If you want one by him try Ladybug Ladybug Fly Away Home! Its the scenario right before this one in the book or try Fear's Sharp little needles a scenario book written with many of the same contributors thats stupendous!
After watching this, I bought the book and ran this game. It's so good. My first time running Call of Cthulhu and my god. It's so good. Read through the other adventures and I think Ladybug will be the next one I do. It's so well done.

Hulmes is a fucking gem. I love how he just leans into whatever character or role is handed to him. Unafraid to fuck something up, confident that everything will either work out alright, or at least be entertaining if not. So glad to see him as a recurring player.
He's got that DM brain, embodying weird and wonderful characters is what he does

I love how Lewis' first reaction at hearing their characters were involved in a supernatural mysteries show was wry amusement and then just fully commited to his character

I thought it would be a while before the next Call of Cthulhu since we only just got The Saturnine Chalice, I am positively thrilled!! I've loved all the games on here so far, but Call of Cthulhu will always be my favorite with the era and eerie themes. Not to mention the awesome recurring characters. The modern setting on this one was unexpected but a fun twist that kept it fresh after having binged The Saturnine Chalice recently.
Im so excited as well. I love all the roleplaying yogs have been doing, but cthulhu series are my favorite

I've complimented the sound design on this channel before, and yet again they killed it. I might be reading too much into the ominous music that kicked in and lack of "you remember nothing" from Tom when introducing Lewis's character, but I'm pretty sus of him
I can't believe there was finally a major car crash in one of these campaigns and Lydia wasn't the cause. I guess she really does drive better after she's had a few!
You’re home alone. At least… you thought so. You’re glad you froze when you heard the floorboard creak. Maybe whoever is there didn’t notice that you heard them. The video on your laptop is still playing. Loud enough to cover the sounds of panic, but quiet enough to have heard the floor. Suddenly, the video ends, and the screen is black. Seeing the reflection, you’re now sure that there’s someone behind you. Are you going to fall victim to a home intruder… Or are you on A MYSTERY QUEST!

Honestly, genuinely a bit scary. I’ve been in many a situation like that, although without the actual home invader being behind me thankfully.
Surprised nobody asked if Lewis' gun was loaded, or had rounds missing.
They're British they dont know how guns work. The groups collected instinct was to get rid of the gun.
Not really a thought process we have in England!
I'm German and we have strict gun laws, still my first thought's were check the ammunition count and if it's real or blanks

Tom makes a good DM. I like how he can keep the story moving. He knows when to stop a story line that has driven into the ditch. He is part of why I watch. I have always like Simon and am warming up to Lydia's role playing.
Thats right my friends, if you cant afford US medical care, you probly cant even afford the insurance itself that's supposed to cover it lmfao.
By this rate Lydia's going to be a standard guest. Definitely not complaining lol.

Trott! I hope this means we get Smith and Ross at some point. Especially Ross. He is absolutely unhinged when it comes to roleplay (and in general), even by Hat Films standards.
I was going to be upset about the lack of Simon, but the appearance of Trott changed that. I love that man.
And it's fascinating to see some Cthulhu stuff taking place in a modern time with phones and technology, looking forward to seeing how this one goes.

Same. xD The amount they kept highlighting and coming back to the gun was so funny to me. I wouldn't have batted an eye at it, and they couldn't believe that this American had a gun.

I think Lydia's been in every single one so far; I consider her the co-host at this point. A lot of the CoC feels like an extension of "Spookies with Simon/Lydia"

Such a brilliant angle to writing a campaign. Tom brought his A game here.I love this channel, and I think what helps the most is the very average amount of fucking around. If you told me 10 years ago that the Yogscast would sit down one day and seriously embrace roleplay instead of joking around nonstop I would have called you a liar. I could actually do with a slight increase in fucking around.

I like to think these characters are decedents of the other era characters, and their families are cursed to face the supernatural for generations.
Wasn't expecting more call of cthulu so soon but very excited for a new campaign. Looking forward to seeing more of Mark's eternal DM energy coming out
