i only have around resiliance 105
but i play with 50.6 glancing (with pot), 17% cooldown, 1544 fokus and 61k HP, 8 set bonus and 5 purple specials on gear. rest of gear is 5 blue special and green.
atm i am pretty happy with this. in the german translate, there was no reason for me to go in resiliance... :S
So having under 315 resilience, the boss has a chance to crit. It is a low chance, but it can 1shot you. You absolutely do not want to die as a tank. It most raids tank dead = wipe so it's recommended to reach the threshold. You can get "lucky" and never get crit, but eventually you will and will suffer for it
I was in that same space - I had way too much glancing and nearly 60k hp. It happened twice that a raid boss (especially the Druid) one shotted me. I checked the footage and it was a critical hit by the boss. So I rolled for two 157 resiliance items (The glove and the wrist) - I had 314 and was one point behind. So I socketed a low level resiliance gem (+6 on resiliance). Now I’m on 320.
I didn’t know that there is a third item which can give resiliance. Maybe I give this a try and get one gem slot back. Like you said in this Paladin Guide. 3 items with each 105 resiliance. Or I wait till 110 raids 😂Maybe it’s too min maxing in this early state. 😅

@@kevincoo400 Thanks bro for the kind words. Yeah getting crit is the worst 😅 I would just keep what you have probably, and then wait for 110 gear to get 630 resilience. You are missing out on 1 gem, but hopefully gaining better stats from the 1 piece that is not resilience

i can sacrifice some fokus and get resilience, i will try but th 50% glancing and the cooldown is premium

I will do that Jose! Thanks for the suggestion. The top classes are changing now as players are maxing out their gear, I expect things to change even more with 110 gear and T4 gems/runes

It depends on the raid as well, some raids are better for some classes due to the mechanics, but I'll plug everything into a spreadsheet and find out 🤓 I can say that anecdotally it seems that shadow swordsman and barbarian probably have the highest ceiling if everything is maxed and they play perfectly 👌

AO I did have one other question. You show the BIS Stat Items but then you show that you want to get 6% Omni which is not reachable with the items that you listed. I have all the items and am over 24% cdr and with all Omni nodes in IS with 50% boost in the ones that can be boosted your only at 4.5%. So do you just ignore hitting that breakpoint?
You can hit all the thresholds with our current gear. You can replace 2 cooldown gear for omni gear to do so. It's up to you if you need to be even more tanky, you can go for the 6%, otherwise you can stick with what you have currently
Very nice video! I wanted to ask about Omni specifically, I saw in another video that Omni scales poorly. I'm wondering if the 6% is worth it since it only helps give a 1% damage reduction, versus pumping that into CD/other stats? Could you explain a bit more about the math regarding omni?
as today gear aviable is worth because you have enough stone to get to 6% after you got all the rest anyway
Thanks for watching. The math shows that at least with level 100 gear and our current stats, it actually scales better than people claim. It's not the BEST stat to increase, but it's not the worst either. The 1% damage reduction alone is worth it. Go for it after the others like sleshflex said. It's not a huge deal if you dont get to 6% omni, especially if you dont have a high inscribed level. You should still be more than tanky enough. it's just for the full-on min-max. You can reach all of the thresholds (and beyond) with our current gear 👍

I tried to pump all my stats into CD after hitting the glancing threshold and I could reach about 24% (with 157 CD stat lines on all my gear), and since CD affects GCD/all the skills like you mentioned, I was wondering if it'll give more reduction instead. I'll switch over to Omni. Thanks for answering! (I recommended your video to my fellow pallies in the guild!!)
@iMsBear you ~can~ hit 6% with swapping two gear pieces. I don't think it's always the best thing to be as tanky as possible. If you need the super tankiness, omni 6% will be your best bet. However, I really only go super tank during pug challenge mode runs. Otherwise, I would say max cooldown is the way to go! More damage 🤩 I have several gear pieces in my warehouse so I can swap between the two. Cheers for sharing!
Completly agree on every point exept the glancing.....Dunno if you didnt realize or failed to mention, aegis last for 3 blocks or 10 sec, to not waste it you want to get to 100% glance during it wich means 70% before aegis proc given you have 3/3 aegis+........ another interaction is that your aegis recharge when you glance a hit wich means more glancing= more Aegis procs. so getting to 70% for challenge mode is really reccomended at that point the only overcap will be if you proc your echo during aegis but considering that for the actual stone level investing any point into the cores is kinda really bad isnt something to consider. if you get to this lvl of glancing than having specialization effect>>>>>>>>>stamina by a mile making your hp way more stable and way less of a rollercoaster........Ah fuck focus, 1 point wich is 52=0.1% phis dmg reduction, absolutly garbage resonance is a fuking banger of a stat and scales immensly you get to ult so often it becomes a short defensive cd wich gives your top dmg too.
Agreed, resonance is definitely nice, it's just hard to quantify, certainly better than top node 😅👍 I have a bottom right and top right emblem just for resonance 😁 I don't even run the super tank build in 90% of my runs unless I'm pugging challenge mode. I agree with glancing except with hammer special aptitudes, your glancing chance increases even further. If you have proper gear, your default glancing is ~35% with hammer aptitudes it's nearly 60% without speccing any additional inscribed into it. Even at that point, the first and second stamina nodes are > specialization effect. At 70+, the second node of specialization and the first node of stamina are == so you're probably right that with the additional benefits from glancing (outside of mitigation), it could be better to do glancing chance + spec nodes > stamina. Thanks, I'll try it out. And yeah, I don't think I made it clear that focus is the last stat to increase 🫠
@@AoLastShelter Yeah i obviusly ment to have 70% in combat with the hammer buff up. anyway you eraned a sub because it took me weeks to find a competent person and not a completly clueless idiot who one day woke up and thought doing normal dungeons qualified him as an expert on the subject
@sleshflex4170 ah gotcha! Yeah agreed. I'm pushing for lvl 60 inscribed so I can hit pretty much everything necessary. I run a full strength/resonance pally build for guild busses through elite raids most of the time anyway 😂 Appreciate the sub and the comments, my guildie is a beast pally tank so a lot of the testing comes from him. I'll try to "reverse engineer" the resonance buff soon
Great Build! we check this out and its very nice. one think i prefer to change. i didnt go for Stamina in the stones. i think Strenght is a bit stronger because it give u 100 dps more and a bit of lifesteal. the lp-reg on stamina triggert only out of combat i guess. the +life on stamina is very low..
Yeah nice bro! I have 2 separate stone builds. I run a strength+resonance build for most of my reclear groups, where survivability is totally not a concern. For progging and definitely challenge mode raids, maximum survivability is super nice 👍

Ah, okay, "flying shield". Yeah, if you have a lot of flying shield special aptitudes, it's good to take. I don't yet 😅 when I get some I take off points in heart of fire and put in flying shield+

@@bbbeeyyee4575 so you can temper aptitudes onto the same gear you tank with. When tempering, make sure to select the justice side instead of the guard side. You can have bis for tank and DPS on the same pieces 👍
I still don't understand why you put any emphasis on Focus. For 52 focus you get .1% Damage Reduction.
Yeah I don't think I did a good job of explaining that focus is the last priority, that's my bad.

Focus is omni ??
They are two separate stats. Focus increases physical defense. Omni increase "damage immunity". They are calculated separately in the damage reduction formula. Omni > Focus at the moment
