He’s not using it as a fan in this video; he’s actually using it as a wind turbine to generate electricity from the insane air pressure created by the 139 other fans in the box!
Now let's see what happens if he get hold of 139 jet engines and arrange them in a similar configuration and bring them all up to max RPM... what kind of insane air preassure will he get?
you should take all those small fans and put them in a really big box like the size if a small bedroom on the floor and levitate stuff off the floor. the the big one is the backup.
Put it on some caster wheels, find somewhere to put batteries that'll power the thing, and sit on it. Prob be able to push someone with all that thrust.
This contraption should be used by a case fan company as a demo for their fans! I certainly don't see a practical use but that doesn't make it any less cool! You just need to mount the tach like you had on the other box. and the melamine i absolutely hate melamine!!!- the look, the weight, the way it crumbles, everything i worked with the shi* for five years..go back to 3/4 ply! lol jk. cool experiment man, i am totally with you on the importance of fan pressure, especially in this "case" scenario, this is a perfect demo for it. Most people are occupied with cfm numbers which is fine except very rarely are fans run without any restriction.
That's soo cool. I like this video. I'm going to make this. I have 2 NIDEC fans from the PS4. It's a NIDEC G95C12MSIAJ56J14 DC 12V 2.10A. i took a fan out of a ps3 it's a Nidec G80E12NS1ZN-56J14 12V 1.65A 3wires cooling fan. I'm still hunting down high performance fans on PS3 and PS5. I NEED TO FIND THIS FAN, 1 of NMB-MAT BG1402-B045-P00 cooling fan 12V 2.90A 3-wire De PS3 but i don't know what model number from the PS3 has this kind of fan.
I know servers with 8 pairs of 40mm are loud, but this...
+Karolis Pranulis haha yes
that stepper motor winding down sounded so bad ass!!!
Sure does!
HL4EHalfLife What is the use of this?
xelodaki No real use it's just for fun ^.^
Oh, okey
I agree with you nick
This is basically what a datacenter sounds like
Damn that's some dedication just to make a fan box, respect.
try putting an evaporative cooler pad in there, that'd be some serious cool air
I love DC motors from rc cars,rc drones,rc helicopter a radio, DVR, drills, small cd player and printers.
How much power does the big metal fan draw
He’s not using it as a fan in this video; he’s actually using it as a wind turbine to generate electricity from the insane air pressure created by the 139 other fans in the box!
dual fans in the fan box
I wonder if putting a motherboard with CPU and graphics card in there without heatsink would still be properly cooled.
You would definitely still need a heatsink, but should be able to get away without having a fan on it.
Now let's see what happens if he get hold of 139 jet engines and arrange them in a similar configuration and bring them all up to max RPM... what kind of insane air preassure will he get?
Probably a portal to another dimension?
Enough to single-handedly blow Earth out of its orbit; that’s how much!
I wish I could have some push/pull fans these fans look very interesting to have
Get one in ebay
When it is an hot summer, you can use it to cool your room!
Is this enough for cooling 24 titanx GPUs :)
+MrMovieMan941 or one fury x
:D
+MrMovieMan941 Not enough
MrMovieMan941 I
or a ATI X1950XTX (it runs very HOT)
sounds like a server rack when everything is on
Nice work. I t has got quite an impressive air flow!
Good device to empty out a smoke filled room in a few seconds :P awesome
Yeah, especially if you apply power to that stepper motor so the big fan can add even MORE suction power!
the step-up electric engine sounds awesome at shut down
Really liked the wiring.
It looks so neat
First time I have stumbled on your videos, Not quite sure what this is, outside of something fun to do. A very inefficient power transfer box?
It was fun to make.
HL4EHalfLife haha. I bet it was. Looks crazy.
What's your power bill like?!
Very cool stuff.
This looks really fun.
You must be a fan of fans.
you should take all those small fans and put them in a really big box like the size if a small bedroom on the floor and levitate stuff off the floor. the the big one is the backup.
jason heyer LMAO that would be awesome!!
@@HL4EHalfLife I know you love smalls fans I do too. I also love DC motors.
This is FAN-tastic!!! Get it??? hahaha
Seens that the only thing that prevented the box from being pushed forward by its fans is the bigger fan
It did push itself forward, you need to watch to the end of the video.
@@HL4EHalfLife I saw it
Put it on some caster wheels, find somewhere to put batteries that'll power the thing, and sit on it.
Prob be able to push someone with all that thrust.
The fan box is amazing great job building its awesome
thank you very much, for inspiration - you bring me to a funny idea! i let you know, so far it's ready
have you ever thought about doing underwater experiments with those fans?
HOLY CRAP THAT IS THE MOST BADASS FAN EVER 😃😃😃😃😃
That was amazing and so cool project. I am going to make one but in different. I have 55 DC motors so far. I will find more and more and more.
TIME TO FIND THE UPS BATTERY BACKUP AND SIT ON IT
Harold Griswold ?
Wind tunnel?
You really got the stuff needed to build one :)
It would be awesome if it would generate such a voltage that it runs by itself
And be able to charge a phone
14:21
That big fan's motor sounds like a driveshaft
That very, very truly sounds like a jet engine spooling. ;)
Man I really want to see this in person
HA.. wanna buy it?
@@HL4EHalfLife nah I just wanna see how you came up with this idea
Man these fans have a bunch of power!! Especially when they wind up
I wonder what the maximum noise decibel they can reach
the sconend row you said you like them sounds like a drone flying
Pretty sure my cat would walk inside the mini box and when i switch the box on he'll fly threw the wall or his shedding hair will come off.
Awesome! How much power does it consume?
OVER 9000 WATTS
Sounds like a jet engine.
Sounds like turbofan engine at full throttle
was this done out of fun or function?
+Johann Bach Just for fun :)
ira todd
Do you ever use any small Dayton fans?
This contraption should be used by a case fan company as a demo for their fans! I certainly don't see a practical use but that doesn't make it any less cool! I remember watching this like 4 years ago
:D
You are a sick person, you know that right xD Awesome idea, I might use it if power goes out :)
NewAgeSoldier how are you gonna power it
You spin the biggest fan blade
So cool is like a windstorm
sounds like server fan
How long did it take you to finish building that
Wondering how this would stack up with one of those huge bouncycastle blowers ^^
This puts out 3 to 5 times more air.
I have a SanAce 40 fan and A 40MM delta fan
They almost sound like a chorus.
That sounds like a jet engine.
u may use smoke to show how the air flows - may be interesting
1
You are my hero
1) Attach mini fan box to skateboard.
2) Get very long extension cord.
3) Take the whole works outside.
4) ????
5) Profit!!!
but what if someone unplugged it? :O
>700 watts of airflow, nice
HAY +HLE4HALFLIFE can you do a burnout montage of washing machine motors I'd love to hear you reply
How is the DC output greater than the AC output? Are you using an inverter to create the AC?
cr1901 You know I've asked that question to a few tech's myself and haven't really gotten an answer but it has something to do with the filtering cap.
if you have any extra motors can you give them to me please
It cut fingers and probably everything you throw at it.
Just add a dust filter and you're set.
Well done!
This is weird but i love it
Imagine that fan box is our pc case
why do you just assume everybody watching your video has seen your other video about this
Wow very poweful can it run washing machine motor ???
If it can run a vacuum cleaner motor, then yes, I’d say it can run a dishwasher motor too!
so when u got 139 9 volt battery's you can make 30 amps :P
are these DC input or are they tied to a brush less controller.
Just 12v DC, the brushless controllers are built right into each and every fan.
Don't you have anything else better to do with your time?
+Sammy Reedy Don't you have anything better to do with YOUR time than to ask me what I do with my time?
Yes, but a fan is nothing more than a set of blades to make an artificial wind as needed. That's it!
+HL4EHalfLife not to offend but what is the point of this
@@HL4EHalfLife Don't listen to them.
@@n0tlance314 Don't worry about it.
Throw a fruit into the big fan XD
im gussing the vac motor was from a vintage hoover
BlueBunnyPeep You are right it was an upright hoover.
HL4EHalfLife 22:01 how much power was it putting out to push itself???
Andy Elkins You mean like thrust power or total amp draw, or what?
HL4EHalfLife the thrust power and the total amp draw
My ibm eserver has those San ace double fans
sounds like a turboprop
How long have you been collecting computer server fans?
I had been for 4 or 5 years but I don't anymore.
@@HL4EHalfLife awesome those double fans seem like they have a lot of power maybe enough to blow out a whole line of candles
I see you've got your own Fidget Spinner Community Fan Box going on here.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
why so many fans
now use this as a jet engine to push a small go-kart :) and to cool an xbox 360 so it will never overheat
Cool video but I don't understand the overall point of this
That's soo cool. I like this video. I'm going to make this. I have 2 NIDEC fans from the PS4. It's a NIDEC G95C12MSIAJ56J14 DC 12V 2.10A.

What is your purpose with this?, while I still find it very cool, it seems quite useless to me to waste all these resources on this, very curious
It doesn't really serve a purpose other than being something that I enjoyed building and have fun experimenting and messing around with.
Dude, dont you understand?! This guy has the most Awesome cooler for the Hot summer weathers!!
big fan sound like a plane powering down
I know!, pretty cool huh...
HL4EHalfLife hell yaa
yep that screaming generator again
6:37
Mini air raid siren! :D
put skirts on it and it's a hoovercraft
is it produce too power full wind
can it push a boat?
LOL maybe a small boat.. its pretty dam strong.

LOL....Yep!
@@HL4EHalfLife same
man youre popular...
youve got more fans than pewdiepie
Woooooooooow this is nice how to make them
I'm gonna make one too.
wind tunnel maybe
Oh wow you change your picture
I did, thought it suited the channel better, I am still undecided if I'm going to stick with it.
Hook the output to a 4" dryer duct. Hehe
I am currently trying it with a 8" duct, 4" would be too small.
What is the price ?
What the price to build it or if I wanted to sell it?
HL4EHalfLife build plz
iPhoneFan2007 Just the cost of the acrylic sheets
*Cool!*
Build a PC in it....
now make it self powering! infinite energy!
