    Just did my 2004 pilot inner and outer tie rods i just counted the rotations on the outer tie rod still will have a alignment done

      I had thought about that too! I worried the aftermarket parts wouldn't be exactly the same so I gave the string a try. I'm still impressed with the results!
      They're very slight differences in shape between brands I've noticed.

      I did that oring trick for the power steering pump its been quiet since ,thanks!

    can you explain how you placed the strings? i assume it has to plumb along vehicle and vehicle has to be plumb to string so measurements arrnt skewed.
