Where should we go next? Honestly, let me know in the comments what you would like to see (mushroom farm, other interesting mushroom location) and I'll see what I can to make it happen!
I don't know if my request is relevant but I would love to see a video about picking mushrooms in their natural habitat, where to find them (not the location but the type of terrain, woods, forests, plains), how to recognize edible ones from poisonous types. Thank you!
I'd love to hear about commercial cultivation of historically difficult to grow fungi... Is anyone growing truffles using large scale commercial growing techniques for instance? How about Morels?
Your videos and channel are great! :D Thanks for everything. It is really nice to have so much info for free. If possible, I (and a lot more people, I`m sure) would love to see a video talking about simple ways of preparing grain spawn... perhaps a way of making it without complex sterile processes or something like that. For instance, I`ve heard of people spraying h2o2 onto the grains and then doing grain to grain transfer. I`ve tried it and it worked - although I`m still not sure how this might affect the mycelium and the harvest in general because h2o2 is also toxic for the mycelium... but yeah... Again, thanks and keep it up
it looks like some people are growing shiitake not on oak but on any hardwood sawdust (even eucalyptus). I would love and appreciate if you can make a video on that since eucalyptus is more available and a lot cheaper than oak. And thanks a lot for all the excellent videos that you made, it was extremely helpful to me.
thank you for this video which really impressed me. That mushroom farm in the rain ... Shall I admit it? I could smell the wet earth, mosses and mushrooms! And this museum is also wonderful. The preservative liquid cannot be alcohol, which dissolves dyes, formalin which reacts with organic matter. Maybe glycerol or polyvinyl alcohol? I contributed to a small collection of mushrooms, I lyophylised them and the jars were sealed. it was good but the copies were delicate.
5:03 i think that liquid is actually monohydrated formaldehyde (methanediol or methylene glycol), which is a powerful antibacterial that kills every living organism on the mushroom, so it can't spoil or get eaten by microorganisms...
So I just found a mushroom growing in my backyard between the concrete and my house. It looks like this, but I have no clue. Do you have an e-mail so I can get some further information from you? That would be really appreciated. I’m in aus, Melbourne.

formaldehyde monohydrate doesn't react with organic compounds, that's why it's used for preserving living organism (it's also called formalin)
Very informative 👍👍
Thank’s 🇨🇱
You should try coprinus another time!! The new information sound very interesting and also morels may be a good experience!!
OMG ! I Cannot imagine myself checking every one of those logs every single day looking for possible contams! XD

There's so much plastic involved in this production process, that really is a shame.
