By way of giving back a bit, I do have a couple of suggestions which may serve to make your life a little easier: When you cut out your pattern, if before you separate it into the different components to cut out the uppers, you could just cut out the bit that you’re going to use for the lining as one big piece first, and then trace that out, so you’ll have your lining cut out before you even start the rest of the upper upper. Then, you can proceed to separate out the constituent parts to make the upper. I meant to make the suggestion when I watched the last video, in which you were making marks, but concerned about the marks showing on the pink fabric stiletto Shoe if you didn’t get it just right. There’s such a thing as a Frixion pen; you can get them in very fine and fairly robust sizes. Essentially, you make your mark on the fabric or leather the same as you would on paper. The ink formulation in those pens are meant to be erasable using the friction eraser on the end of the pen, but I found in sewing and leather working applications, that you can use a blow dryer to get rid of all the marks at the end. Now there are other brands of pen that do something similar, but you need to test them first. Because the other brands sometimes leave a tiny little trace behind on the fabric that you can see. It’s just barely perceptible if you look closely, but you may not be happy to have it there, nonetheless. thanks again for sharing your know how.
The pattern needs to be stretched over a last, so you need the last anyways. Making the pattern directly from the last is the best and only guaranteed way to make sure you have enough material in the right places to fit the final shoe at that size.
