    Beautifully done and presented. I have found through the years that many say the notes on the page are just a starting point when working with Baroque music but when you attempt to make it your style those same people criticize the attempt. It is delightful to see how you interpret it and truly do make yourself a part of Bach's world with his music.

    Very sensible commentary, and performance which has reflected in a nuanced way the shape or architecture of the portions of the prelude she was demonstrating. I might take issue with the tempo and the opening of the piece and how it is announced by the descending C major scale- but she is certainly a marvelous and thoughtful cellist (as was her father).

      Thought the same thing. Sounds like the scale practice of a beginner. Can't for the of me figure out why they want us to play bach this way

      She gave herself away so easily: she even mentioned "looking at the shape" - which proves she has absolutely no idea what's going on harmonically...
