Excellent point. If Crawford was doing his job, Duncan could have been cursing his ancestors at the top of his lungs and Crawford should be unaware if he's paying attention to the action on the court.
+Conor Horn (Sylvester the Hedgehog) Joey Crawford: Someone having fun in professional basketball!!!?? THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE I BETTER DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS! xD
Thomas William "Tommy" Heinsohn (born August 26, 1934) is an American retired professional basketball player. He has been associated with the Boston Celtics of the National Basketball Association (NBA) for six decades as a player, coach and broadcaster. He played for the Celtics from 1956 to 1965, and also coached the team from 1969 to 1978. He has been granted Hall of Fame Status for his success as a player. He has also been inducted into the hall of fame as a coach. He helped form the NBA players union. Heinsohn is the only person to have the distinction of being involved in an official team capacity in each of the Celtics' 17 championships, as well as each of their 21 NBA Finals appearances. He is currently the color commentator on the Celtics' television broadcasts on CSN New England. - Wiki I have been watching Celtics for 25 years
He laughed. He is human. This just in: HUMANS HAVE EMOTIONS. He didn't do anything worth a T, let alone two. If refs can't handle that, FROM A GUY ON THE BENCH, they need to find a new job.
+iBlair You can laugh at jokes etcetera but if the Official makes a call you can't laugh at it because you're considered to be Criticizing and showing up the Official and that's punished by a technical.
At 2:44, you can tell that he actually did a double dribble at the beginning too. He dribbled the ball once, they held it with two hands for a second, and dribbled it towards the basketball. So, he violated the rules four times.
So Stephenson got called for trash talking Wade? I don't know much about the rules regarding trash talking but didn't players in the 90s used to trash talk a lot?
1. Thomas never stepped out of bounds. 2. It was deflected while in the air. It's the same as catching a pass in the air. It's legal You guys need to learn to watch more closely. 3. You cannot stare down an official to try an intimidate them. Most of these players are pure thugs. Totally the right call!!
A tech would be the right call there as it should be called anytime a player gets in the face of another and taunts. That being said, something that minor should merit an ejection. A single technical wouldve sufficed
Victor Fernandez // Bigdestroyer well I wasn't saying that they didn't win I was just saying he waved it off before the buzzer sounded so basically you just wasted 5 minutes of my time and your time
Can't expect these guys to be perfect on every call. They're dead accurate on almost all of them though, it's a fast paced game that many people couldn't even fathom trying to referee at.
I dont think the staring is a bad call. If the ref really told this dude to stop staring at him multiple times and he did it again I have no problem with an ejection. He's just trying to intimidate the ref.
Jai Hollins i dont really understand your point technical fouls almost never are physical. Is someone's voice painful? Is someone hanging on the rim too long painful? What the hell is your point?
The wallace one he was given a warning and tried intimidate the ref. Tim Duncan if he was out on the floor and laughed that much itd get called. You cant disrespect the refs
The one call on Tim Duncan, you can't call that a bad call because we don't know what Tim was saying to Joey Crawford, so we don't known if it was something really bad that it deserves a technical or not.
I am a Magic fan, and that last one was terrible. That reminds me of one of the Magic-Spurs games a couple years back when J.J. Redick (who played for Orlando at the time) hit a buzzer-beater that was shot before the buzzer, but the refs overturned it after review, giving the Spurs the game.
Just for the record, while that play at 3:08 was ridiculous, IF, mind you IF, the ball was actually tipped like the official claims, that's an entirely legal possession. The voice-over guy seemed to suggest that regardless if it was tipped or not, it was still a travel because he regained control in the air. According to the rules (and my 13 years experience playing basketball, both competitively and recreationally), if the ball gets HIT out of your hands, it doesn't matter where you regain control: your possession starts anew from when you regain control, just as if you had just caught the ball. I still think that the ball wasn't hit and the ref was wrong, but just clarifying the rules a bit there to perhaps cut that ref a little slack in the event that he actually thought the ball was tipped.
I don't think the clip that starts at 2:30 should be in here. The commentary says Thomas stepped out but the angle doesn't show that. Thomas goes up for a shot and the defender knocks the ball loose but Thomas regains control almost immediately. Since the defender knocked the ball loose it is completely legal for Thomas to start his dribble again.
The simple fact that the ref was watching Tim Duncan instead of the game is a problem. i hope his supervisors had shit to say to him about that call because that kind of officiating is just ridiculous

L
Okay
no wonder duncan is so serious lmao
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂💯💯thanks bro. I've been looking all these years for why
wrg
Why are the refs looking at Duncan on the bench when there is a game going on?
ikr
I think they just pull fouls out of a hat along with the numbers of each player on the team
I was thinking the same thing....he was already in his feelings with Duncan.
he fallin in love with Duncan. But Duncan rejected His Love
Excellent point. If Crawford was doing his job, Duncan could have been cursing his ancestors at the top of his lungs and Crawford should be unaware if he's paying attention to the action on the court.
Duncan got 2 technical fouls for laughing... *sigh*... I am ashamed of these NBA referees.
+Andrew Tang Nah, just joey crawford
+Abel Lu NOpe there was 3 refs including gayford.
+Abel Lu You got a technical foul for saying that
+Conor Horn (Sylvester the Hedgehog) Joey Crawford: Someone having fun in professional basketball!!!?? THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE I BETTER DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS! xD
Those also happen to be the only two technicals Tim has ever gotten in his career.
He jumped..........and landed back on earth
+DatBeachBum couldn't help but notice that comment too. It's not like he broke orbit or anything.
haha bruh for real
Literally made me laugh.
That got me 😂
DatBeachBum 😂😂😂 I was dead
joey crawford was honestly the worst ref in the history of the nba
yeah, his brother in MLB wasn't much better
The last time Tim Duncan ever smiled
technical foul for laughing when in bench. ok nba. ok.
Skantei NBA did right tho they suspended joey for the rest of the year
Souleymane Nimaga they did?
@ 4:40 tim duncan has never shown emotion ever since
4:17 Hahaha! Joey Crawford? "Best in the business"? Bruh I'm gonna cry cuz of this!
at 4:39, the "flood warning" symbol was in just the right place
+Abel Lu hahaha omfg
I was thinking the same thing😂😂
+Abel Lu Looks like timmy is crying.. LOL
+Drexler Fernandez he isn't crying he is just amazed at joey crawfords stupidity
he got ejected in a middle of a flood, poor duncan
Tim Duncan gets tech for no reason and then gets kicked out of the game for laughing, Dang! I guess that's why he doesn't show any emotion anymore
thank god crawford is retiring
Ikr
im literily so fucking mad at some of these calls the last one made me yell at my computer screen its just insane
tim duncan got 2 T's for laughing? lol what's with refs these days?
+Jumar Jimeno that was a while ago lol
+Jumar Jimeno that was a while ago lol
😂he was on his period
Justineralph Rocha dafuck lmao 😂😂😂😂😂
+GetFlankedM9 2004
The league obviously didn't want Spurs to win this game
+DK300 Gaming (diamondking300) Us? What # are you on the Spurs?
Yeah I don't like them but that was a horrible call
+DiamondKing300 LIVE (diamondking300)
Um, Stern hated Dallas much more. 2006 Finals. Enough said.
3:29 when did fred flinstone start announcing
Hahahahhahahahahahaha
Lol
worst calls these reffs should get tecnicals
+Leanne Uhrich haha made my day! :)
They get called Officials... They are shit refs
I would do like the longest yard movie when he threw the ball at the ref's groin!!!
bad grammar should also get technicals...
????????????
3:26 funniest and best announcer reaction
SKOL VIKINGS
You know it bro

Muscle Hamster u
I just love this serious ass music from 2:50-3:15ish
Wallace got a tech for staring
Duncan got a tech for laughing... Ok
Do refs get fined for stupid calls like this?
Gabriel Bernabe now is the time for this stuff... come on Adam silver
Gabriel Bernabe they shoud
2:08 is like a couple arguing.. "Get away from me Steve" HAHAHA :D
Referring should get fines if they make bad calls
No one:
Literally no one:
Ref: He was staring at me so I kicked him out.
I love how Mavs fans clapped when Timmy D got thrown. They should know it is bs
It wasn't BS, he was showing up the official, he is paid to play ball not be disrespectful to the officials.
He laughed. He is human. This just in: HUMANS HAVE EMOTIONS. He didn't do anything worth a T, let alone two. If refs can't handle that, FROM A GUY ON THE BENCH, they need to find a new job.
+iBlair He was laughing at the officials call and you can't do that
+iBlair You can laugh at jokes etcetera but if the Official makes a call you can't laugh at it because you're considered to be Criticizing and showing up the Official and that's punished by a technical.
+iBlair You never have officiated a Basketball game so it's okay that you aren't educated enough to understand the game, us officials forgive you.
I like how wade laughs with Stephenson then sees the ref and starts acting frustrated . Smh.
so did 5:30 count?
+PS2Damon nope it didn't
+Silvers Rayleigh Because that judge is stupid
+Joel Strand ref not judge
+KingCod164 ops, i am not from a english speaking country so i dont speak super good english and in My country judge and ref is the same word
+InsaneHoops why cant they just check the replay wtf
That first one I agree with 100%
how is it even legal to give someone on the bench a fucking technical ??
Ikr its dumb tin duncan got it for laughing...
You know what I noticed during the cavs season this past year..... everytime there is a review....
*ITS ALWAYS CALLED COMMON!!!*
The last call is just scandalous...
i love the way swaye wade smiles at lance after he says "what"
I feel bad for Tim Duncan, ESPECIALLY when his two techs are really misleading (as in, Duncan didn't get up in Crawford's face)
Yeah, it looks like you have a part two, but for how many bad calls especially recently in the NBA, there needs to be a part 35!!
The NBA has no balls anymore, the 80s and 90s had balls but started shrinking as the years went by
At 2:44, you can tell that he actually did a double dribble at the beginning too. He dribbled the ball once, they held it with two hands for a second, and dribbled it towards the basketball. So, he violated the rules four times.
Thats the gayest ref "i told him to stop staring at me thats a technical"
Shit like 4:40 is why I'm sure most fans aren't gonna miss Joey Crawford one bit
No 02 kings vs lakers western conference finals calls?
Get away from me Steve GET AWAY FROME ME STEVE
So Stephenson got called for trash talking Wade? I don't know much about the rules regarding trash talking but didn't players in the 90s used to trash talk a lot?
Risara pussified NBA
After that metta world peace fiasco where they beat the fuck out of fans. they had to tone it all the way the fuck down! Blame indiana pacers. lol
He said "WHAT" how the hell is that trash talking.
You should have more subscribers. Keep the good work up
+TheRealRalphieC thanks bro
The faces on the Spurs bench when Duncan gets thrown out 4:25 XDXDXD
If Duncan get a technical foul for laughing then the crowd should get one for booing
1. Thomas never stepped out of bounds.
2. It was deflected while in the air. It's the same as catching a pass in the air. It's legal
You guys need to learn to watch more closely.
3. You cannot stare down an official to try an intimidate them. Most of these players are pure thugs. Totally the right call!!
Lance Stephenson just trash talked d wade and had the most SAVAGE face ever
The first one with Lance, I think that was the right call.
A tech would be the right call there as it should be called anytime a player gets in the face of another and taunts. That being said, something that minor should merit an ejection. A single technical wouldve sufficed
+Rick Sanchez it was a bad call only Bcuz it was late and the other team had to talk him into it.
Grant _ that's literally the shittiest thing ever
5:16 lol he was waving it off before the buzzer sounded
J.J. Blackner It don’t matter anyways because Charlotte still won.
Victor Fernandez // Bigdestroyer no they didn't they didn't have replay back then
J.J. Blackner I mean in Overtime not the regulation.
Victor Fernandez // Bigdestroyer well I wasn't saying that they didn't win I was just saying he waved it off before the buzzer sounded so basically you just wasted 5 minutes of my time and your time
J.J. Blackner I’ll get you banned from TH-cam for saying that I wasted my time replying to the Comment.
why the fuck are refs even needed? when u have slow motion cameras its mind bogling
Sasuke Uchiha ikr
lol you cant call fouls using slow mo cams DURING a game.. yes maybe if you break it down in film. but not when a game is going on
Skantei why is that exactly?
Sasuke Uchiha slow mo cams wouldnt be effectively fast
Skantei i mean dont slow mo cameras work just like normal cameras with the ability to slow it down if need be?
Can't expect these guys to be perfect on every call. They're dead accurate on almost all of them though, it's a fast paced game that many people couldn't even fathom trying to referee at.
Is there a thing called Reffing school
+Efrain Altamariano you'd think
+Efrain Altamariano You should attend one. Maybe you would be a little more educated
+John Doe How do you know he's a ref?
Yes there's clinics we go to to improve our skill as an official.
+Efrain Altamariano actually there is lol the NBA has them for today's referees every offseason
The reaction on Duncan's face was priceless.
I actually agree with a couple of those technicals
I agree with the first one
+Miha P Yeah, Lance deserved that tech, and Wade's reaction made me laugh haha
+JWY12345 I love wade
Same
Wait so ur telling me that the last play wasn't" in. No wonder why the nba needs help
Timberwolves fan? Me too, my Dad’s from MN. But the Kevin Love call was a fantastic swipe. It was a fantastic call.
New rule if u stare at a ref your ejected
And if u look at the rim your fined
This compilation should be called Joey Crawford screw ups
Thomas double tripled twice traveled and stepped out of bounds
baron davis got that shot off
I dont think the staring is a bad call. If the ref really told this dude to stop staring at him multiple times and he did it again I have no problem with an ejection. He's just trying to intimidate the ref.
Because eyes are so painful
If a ref can't handle a stare he's unfit for the job.
Exactly
Jai Hollins i dont really understand your point technical fouls almost never are physical.
Is someone's voice painful? Is someone hanging on the rim too long painful? What the hell is your point?
+MermDaddy I'm just saying man eyes aren't god awful
Lol :29 dwyane wade was like" yeah nigga I bet you won't do that shit on me" ha priceless
Wow. I know refs have brains but do they use it? Infact do they even use their eyes or ears???????
Duncan isn't allowed to laugh. -Joey Crawford
the wallace ejection, the tim duncan techs are both correct.
How?
The wallace one he was given a warning and tried intimidate the ref. Tim Duncan if he was out on the floor and laughed that much itd get called. You cant disrespect the refs
what? its true. but you are probably a child and you can only speak like one.
i like you kid
I don't agree with the second T on Duncan. Isn't it nice how people can disagree without cussing? :)
I Need Yall to Post the 4th quarter of Rockets and Grizzlies now!!!!!
that intro is good af
Like that music at the beginning! 😀
Duncan's fouls was the funniest for me lol cuz of his reactions
The one call on Tim Duncan, you can't call that a bad call because we don't know what Tim was saying to Joey Crawford, so we don't known if it was something really bad that it deserves a technical or not.
OMG......Dwade's face is just.....priceless hahaha
Was the whole vid a Joey Crawford comp lol
That last one made me mad the buzzer went off when he was already standing there with no ball in his hand wow🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
Thomas actually had 4 violations. He double dribbled, stepped out, traveled, and double dribbled again.
Legend says Tim Duncan never smiled in the NBA again after this game..
nba before = hardcore, nba today = ballet
2:33 was hilarious it made me laugh when the voice started talking
You came for this 2:33
3:50 was a good call. When setting a screen on a defender out of their line of sight, you must allow time and distance for them to avoid the screen
We all know that Joey Crawford is veteran referee...Veteran dirty referee and a real game MVP..Congratulations Joey
Thx for the video
Great video
duncan just smile what a professional player
that fucking smirk on wades face had me laughing
2:30 I started crying it was so fucking obvious LMFAO
that's why leonard never tried to smile because he afraid to be ejected.
i almost died laughing when Duncan got 2 technical fouls. 'for laughing'
You're laughing at him? Nope that's a T for you
T for giving a T, oh wait
Still geeking at Tim Duncan's Technical lol
2:56 he takes a dribble, picks up the ball, then drives, proceeding to violate 3 more rules
Tech for looking laughing and talking fucking hell it's both sad and hilarious
That ref was so terrified of Wallace. And I love the dramatic commentary on the Thomas play.
Wade sold that foul flawlessly, there is no blaming the ref on that one
That moving pick against the celtics was horrible
the triple dribble had me dying!!
If Thomas's shot got tipped liked they said, it wouldn't of been a double dribble !
But it didn't that's the thing
Plus he already went out of bounds
at the very beginning of the clip it looks like starts off with a double dribble too
Just for the record, while that play at 3:08 was ridiculous, IF, mind you IF, the ball was actually tipped like the official claims, that's an entirely legal possession. Go Seve Smith for fighting for his teammate. Refs should be stopped who don't call things correctly.
3:25 Oh wait a minute WAIT A MINUTE that’s a terrible call that is a TERRIBLE CALL
