Bay City Rollers was a real Pop Group. And they were very good Musicians. Alan Longmuir was the Founder of Bcr in 1965 with Derek his younger Brother. They have had changed The Band Names several Times . In 1968 Bay City Rollers was born. The Rest is History!
I saw them in Berlin 1976 in Bravo Pop magazine concert and later in 1977. It's sad to see them gone so soon but we are all not getting younger unfortunately. Great memories.❤❤❤

Thank you guy's....All thru my teenage years I listened to your music on vinyl with a portable record player. Many night's you sang me to sleep, my room was covered in posters. Every second Saturday at our library many teenage girls would meet and talk about the band and exchange posters and stories as many had been to a concert, I did not have that opportunity until later in life, I met Les when he came to Canada with his wife and family. I was lucky enough to get to sign your wall in Bay City Michigan when The Bay City Rollers were in there hay day....Your music was clean and fun I will always hold a special place for the band...Again I thank you for your music and my wonderful teenage years!.....

It's interesting because, as a contemporary, to these gentlemen; I think when you are young, you dress fashionably stylish and when you get older, you dress for comfort. Look at some of BCR's videos from the 70's and these guys are wearing tight clothes and platform shoes. Now they wear loose feeting clothes and tennis shoes. Exactly the same thing has happened to me!
Just watched were did the BCRs millions go over 1 billion pounds in record sales. They settled out of court 70,000 pounds each what a crime. Where did concert and merchandise money go!!
They were the original Boy Band, they we're HUGE in the '70s, they even had a 'mania', I'm not too down with the teeny boppers nowadays but they we're way better than No Direction, Backdoor Boys and Take This.
It would have been brilliant if this lineup went ahead with their plans but woodys childish petty jealousy destroyed it all again when Alan died woody was not speaking to him when Les died woody was not talking to him it would have been great rest in peace Alan and Les
Eric still plays the music with his own band apparently And Derek stays out of the limlight these days since he was caught with a load of pictures a few years back
I only just remember this band as born in 1969 but being honest they are just too old to make a come back... life moves on to a new generation they need to retire with dignity and just remember them as good memories x
The 70s had great music and bands. These, Abba, New Seekers, Slade, and good Solo Artists. It was about actual talent. Now it is all faked , with a few exceptions.
