19:00 I'm not entirely sure but probably the game may have a limit on how many objects you can push push with your shellmet and as soon you got to that limit+1, the extra plant bodied you.
FYI it was during your 18th plant that your got hit, but I think the limit is 16 because the 17 plants only got to be in a "resting state" after all of them fell into the cloud and that happened while you were pushing the next up... which means you jumped into a cluster of 17 resting plants and the game only allowed 16 of them to be pushed up.

I have never screamed at my monitor more than I have in this video lol. I think what broke me was the level titled MID AIR and Dave's like "oh its just a shell jump!" -_- ........... but I still love you so take my like :p
The cape level: kick the shell up at the arrows and you can continue flying forward, don't kick it at the wall.

I'm surprised nobody in chat pointed it out to him. It seemed like an obvious solution and would've saved him a whole lot of trouble.
Wouldn't have helped anyways because he wouldn't fit through that 1 tile gap after the pipe with it. A helm or link was required.

Mario Maker can be be really awesome like in last video of DGR there was awesome levels, a task master type thing, a poker game, and bomb low gravity platforming. Also it can be awful as heck like in this video, it has a really garbage level, a difficult tech level, and dgr running into a spike.
As a person born and raised in New Jersey, I appreciate your intro in these videos.

i noticed you played my level on a stream (the final level before a collab about 2 weeks ago) and by pure coincidence it's one of my least polished levels (i spent 4 hours on it) also sorry for the ending trolls i hated that team shell doesn't allow trolls so i went overboard here.

This level has it all. Ugly design, trolls out of nowhere, annoyingly precise jumps…it's just unpleasant to play. And to top it off, after finally outsmarting it you're given nothing but more bad levels.
Interestingly enough that pipe above the end of the first level is linked to the pipe on the right side above the spring blocked climbing section

I found out you can cheese that first level at the end by hitting the very edge of the note block and it doesn't hurt you
instead of tactical death, use the pipe to reset.
if you have not already, try and win some of the gauntlets in other mario games, like the one in 3D world. just the final level thats supposed to be impossible.
