Rusty Lake with Keith was a good time 6 years ago when I first subbed and it's still a good time now 😊

So quick recap: Rose is the red head/old woman and Laura's mother. The deer mask guy is Albert and he is Rose's "father" and i refuse to discuss this further. Laura is the reincarnation of Mr. Crow's brother after a failed attempt at immortality. She gets in a relationship with Bob who works at a bird seed factory but she dies mysteriously and he goes to the white door facility. Dale is tasked with investigating her death and finds out about the spooky mysteries of Rusty lake ooooh

Maybe its an age thing, or just where I grew up, but the gum stuck on a random wall was immediately recognizable from my childhood field trips in Chicago.

Will you be playing the cube hunt, the extra level, and the secret ending? Highly recommend at least the cube hunt, for an end scene, and puzzle fun. The extra level is fun too, and the second secret ending is more niche, and I'm pretty sure involved real world things to solve the puzzles.

Thanks for the series. I couldn't play the paid games myself, so this really helps with filling the plot out for me

I liked the metro as a narrative device for the journey, and that you gain more control as it develops. Nice instalment to the series and I hope the dev's have more planned like this!
There is quite a bit more to the game, though I haven't played since it came out and I believe they've added an extra achievement (ruining my perfect score -- I'll have to return someday.)

I watched the venerable Mr. Jesse Cox play this one, and while it was a fun time... I am *beyond* excited for this run. Love Jesse, but he don't puzzle as good as our lad Keith and I still remember the last Rusty Lake game on the channel.
Bit knackered my schedule is getting me to this one late, and I usually wouldn't comment but... Just was super happy when this hit my feed and I wanted to make sure I had me brain clear for it. No second-screen nonsense this time!

This was nice, just wished there was *more* eldritch/horror ambience like in older Rusty Lake games. Underground Blossom seems more like an epilogue chapter to Rusty Lake: Roots

your horrified reaction upon noticing the sliding tile puzzles is exactly how I feel any time I see that shit 😭
shout out to Later Alligator for having the good sense to let you skip through its version of those damn things if you wait for a little while
*EDIT:* nvm, wasn't actually a sliding tile puzzle after all (thank god)
    also:
02:10:17 if psychological horror games have taught me one thing, it's that nothing good ever happens at a lake (especially not one referred to as "The Lake")

I'm sure there is more content in this game, I even remember some puzzles. My memory is hazy due to how long ago this game released, but I remember there being a second metro branch.

Know that this is a pretty self contained narrative, but without seeing or playing the other games, I do wonder if the Rusty Lake or Cube games bring any context to it. Because there are only little call backs, I doubt it, but maybe it at least informs as to the presentation style of their games.

The rest of the games do really give a lot of background information. Not so much to solve the puzzles, but as for all the narrative? Yeah, it's all callbacks and references, and explanations. Why was Rose away? She was doing the things from The Past Within. Where did Bob go after the break up? His story is in The White Door. How did Laura die? Well, okay, that one stays kind of vague, but her death is basically what the Cube Escapes are about.
All the games are in the same style though, so it's not just this game.

I love your videos, but I will never be able to get used to your "rapid-fire machine gun" clicking method of puzzle solving 😂

Haven't been to the Van Gogh Experience myself, but the art installation as you described it sounds a lot like the AI and VR integration at the Salvador Dali museum. Not to get pretentious but it all feels just so unnecessary in a way that almost pulls attention away from what makes the art enjoyable on its own, imo.

Wait... wasn't this uploaded a month or two ago?

Or was that on patreon and I just forgot xD

It was a Patreon thing. Keith has a backlog of some shorter games that will likely be sprinkled in the schedule.
