Although it's not my favorite type of airplane, I would fly in an ATR in a warm-weather climate. You're just like me, I like to take a seat near the propeller so I can get the prop in my pictures. Got to love Blondie singing Heart of Glass in the background!!

Powerback is probably rare only because there are so few propeller planes left. On a turboprop like the ATR 42/72, all you need to do is set the prop blades to push instead of pull, the same position used to brake after landing. What looks funny to me is that as soon as an ATR 72 has landed, a ground crew member comes and puts a strut under the plane's tail, to prevent it from sitting down on its rear when people deplane and there is little weight in the front cargo hold. The shorter 42 doesn't need this apparently.

No, it's not exactly due to there being 'fewer prop planes', although I do see what you mean - some airports merely don't allow it. Otherwise, that was an informative comment, and those are some interesting things you mentioned there that I didn't notice when I flew on Blue Islands' ATR.

The ground personel treats the same, is a little bit strange, why your are not alloud to record when you fly in small turboprop aircraft, example The ATR ????

Gran canaria airport is also a military base, and Spanish don't really get our fascination with planes.

Very rude on the ground, it can be said in another way that "you cannot record" neither the Ground nor the Cabin staff, but the Warehouse employee (trunk) .... could take it as something normal, it seems very even the manner of speaking of the ground attendant, saying "Be careful with this man who is recording" ....true, he is recording, he is not going to hijack the plane! There are other people who take pictures in front of the plane and don't say anything to him.... more education and of course, that they speak in the language of the passenger, if he doesn't know languages, that he should work in something else....

In the safety demo, why doesn't she mention oxygen masks?
    Is it skipped?

Scottish Regional Air // EasyJet Group No, it's because it's a 45-minute flight and it does not reach the height of a larger commercial aircraft like an Airbus 320.

You only need oxygen above 10,000ft, the flight levels off at that height, so not needed.

It's mentioned in the safety card, but not needed on the inter-island flights, as these guys before me have said. Most (B)inter-Canarias flights don't fly any higher than 10,000ft.
