No one gets to see what's in the brief case, no one....* tucks screenplay for new movie "Garand and Travis, a Match Made in Heaven" back into briefcase*
Zachary Jones I find it strangely soothing. Sometimes I put my iPad next to my bed and let the videos continuously play. My gf isn't really amused by this. I'm attempting to absorb knowledges subliminally.
I'd prefer the knowledge to be brrrrrrrt'd into my frontal lobe with multiple passes. Guess I'd still hit the like, subscribe and bell button if I hadn't already done so.
I like the gear reviews a lot! In fact one could say you've moved me to seek out and purchase a better chest rig. However I think I like to hear your point of view on the different drills you do and why more! Keep it up!
Wouahou, impressive ! Your videos help me a lot !! I'm a hobbyist, I shoot for fun. And these trainings are fun !! I don't have an instructor in my shooting range. So often I didn't know how to train effectively. It has changed with your videos. You help me to define objectives, to drill... And now I'm improving !! THANKS A LOT !!
Great! I love this drill. I've never done it with my Mk18 but I will go it a go. Excellent explanation of controlling cadence and target transition!! Ur awesome bro!
In order to make this drill more realistic I dyed my hair grey, dressed in a suit and hijacked a cab and forced him to take me to the range. Afterwards we went to a jazz club.....
I really prefer this technique/training stuff over the gear videos. You've got real, unique authority on this sort of stuff, with experience that few others can boast. This and the THOT drill video were superb. Looking forward to everything else in this series, GT.
interesting piece of information for you about target over correction. The eye actually functions in this manner as a standard. The eye will typically look past any point of interest and auto correct its self after passing the target to its point of origin. So auto correction is essentially inbuilt into the bodies ability to locate a source of stimulus. Thanks for all the knowledge Adam driver/christian bale
I am subscribed to a lot of channels and this is by far my favorite. Your channel should have 100k plus subs because the content is that good. Your videos aren't long or drawn out. You have good intros and great to the point information. Every chance I get I recommend my friends here so they can partake in this wonderful channel! I look forward to your future videos!
Tom Cruise trained this scene at point blank from target 1 from the draw position with frangible ammunition and a slightly angled target. In the final cut, he also finished target 1 with a headshot after he fell over, technically making it a combination of a draw position and the Green Berets' box drill. You can vary and combine any of your favorite drills to train different potential scenarios. *Do not* shoot hard targets at point blank without frangible ammunition unless you want to catch a ricochet, and make sure to get your support hand out of the way at the draw position so you don't shoot yourself in the arm. The way Karl at Tactical Rifleman teaches the Failure to Stop Drill is to take the extra time the target spends staggering from the first two shots to line up the headshot, so I'd hesitate to prioritize speed so much to avoid missing a target that moves unpredictably. In Collateral, you can see Tom Cruise only manages such speed because his second target's head literally falls into his line of fire. Just a few practical considerations
Great logical, entertaining approach to sharing the tactics, knowledge and culture of modern war. - Modern day sword maker (that means I make guns and ammo)
Could you do a video of the kind of workouts you do? I really appreciate the detail that goes into each video, and i feel as though a video on this kind of thing would help weaker shooters find ways to build strength
The videos are incredible! Also I would like to hear that buttery soft voice a bit more: 1st - Please find the GIRTHY-est phone book you can. 2nd- Simply read it front to back. Much appreciated!
"Marine who likes crayons." What does my love of crayons and my military branch of service have to do with liking your videos? Oh!... Wait!.....never mind.
Crayons pfft, I prefer markers, specifically sharpies...or map pens. Love me some map pens. Little known fact about CQB, if you put Chem light juice in your MRE shake it will make your doo glow.
Collateral Drill... Very cool, but how about the John Wick Drill? 1. Standing within arms reach of the target, pull your pistol 2. At the same time, place your non-dominate hand to the side of the target (to simulate grappling with the target) 3. Aim pistol at the target and fire one to two rounds. While not remotely safe, it develop an appreciation for using pistol at extremely close range. And if done correctly, you don't have to pick your fingers up off the ground. ;)
I am enjoying this knowledge bukkake. I don't use Instagram but I'll give this a shot next time I get bored with Metronome drills. Sad we won't be able to comment tactical sweet nothings to each other on that social media platform. Btw, the new Flatpack+ is going to be dope. Plan accordingly.
Love the "jarhead" jabs! Never thought a flyboy could come up with some good ones!!! Just want to say, been to the range, took your advise on shot clocks and holly shit, what a difference. Love what you are posting now. Next range day, I will incorporate your new drill. My favorite flavor, I mean color, crayon is red!
The four people who disliked this video are probably die hard call of duty players that don't understand when someone who knows what they are talking about from a tactical standpoint speaks.
Like your videos and how informative they are. Keep it up 👍🏽 have you done anything on movement like clearing buildings, crossing danger zones, concealment stuff like that or camouflage? Just a suggestion didn't know if you were skilled in that area or had any good info or stories
Garand, great videos, very helpful for both real service members and those of us cosplaying our favorite Navy Seal. Would you be interested in making some Garand vs Wild survival type videos in the future? This could be helpful for hikers, hunters, and the occasional airsoft player who accidentally wanders off into the great yonder. Thank you again!

Brokeback Operation 2: A Garand Thumb and Travis Haley story.
RoyalVictorian haha
I'm not saying they're the same person, but has anybody ever seen them in a room together?
Expand Dong you bring up something scary, but true...
Totes YES!!!
Quickly becoming my favorite channel, the mix of knowledge bombs, dry humor, and a seemingly endless supply of flannel has me hooked.
The flannel master is back to drop some knowledge on you.
PS. Do you have like a schedule or you just post when you get enough footage?
I've been in the armored car industry for several years and this is one drill I do every chance I get. GREAT VIDEO
Always channeling Travis.... The force is strong with this one.....
These kind of drills, and even stuff that doesn't have to do with guns but just combat survival, need to show up more on the channel.
Guy at work was listening the video play for the first time and said, "whoever that is has a pleasant voice." He's a retired master chief.
Zachary Jones I find it strangely soothing. Sometimes I put my iPad next to my bed and let the videos continuously play.
My gf isn't really amused by this. I'm attempting to absorb knowledges subliminally.
I really appreciate that your intro music isn't like 500% louder than your actual video's audio unlike so many videos out there... also good content.
Weirdness, skills, then gear. A winner combination.
Love this channel, you make it easier for us non-military guys!
You have the most creative ways of asking for comments and likes. I feel compelled to comply.
First "if you" opener? Been going back and checking out the older content. Good stuff, getting all that knowledge dropped danger close into my brain!
As a Prior Airman and now Coastie, the Marines jokes just never fail to make me laugh. Keep up the good work. Looking forward to running this drill.
I'd prefer the knowledge to be brrrrrrrt'd into my frontal lobe with multiple passes. Guess I'd still hit the like, subscribe and bell button if I hadn't already done so.
That's going into the next video
Do a video series on SERE.
I like the gear reviews a lot! In fact one could say you've moved me to seek out and purchase a better chest rig. However I think I like to hear your point of view on the different drills you do and why more! Keep it up!

Hey Garand, Keep the skill set drills coming, I'm up to Ryobi level now, Hope to get up to Makita or Dewalt Soon!!!
Great! I love this drill. I've never done it with my Mk18 but I will go it a go. Excellent explanation of controlling cadence and target transition!! Ur awesome bro!
You need to replace the chemlights on your belt with large crayons.
This is the shit I wanna keep seeing
In order to make this drill more realistic I dyed my hair grey, dressed in a suit and hijacked a cab and forced him to take me to the range. Afterwards we went to a jazz club.....
Impressive shooting for not even looking at your sights. Keep up the good work, excellent videos.
Much respect brother. As an aspiring PJ, your videos are extremely informative and helpful!!
Short games on point Thumb !
Keep the drills coming!
Bro your sleeves aren't rolled up symmetrical. -2 operator points. Great video
WickedSensation I deduct 10 points. Reason being, he is an operator. Operationally and logistically, things flow better with symmetry.
Preston Poole good point but since it's his first offense I gave him leniency.
Negative. Current practical tactics call for asymmetrical warfare. The mismatch shirt roll is intentional and designed to disorient the OPFOR.
Just the right balance of attempts at humor, og good tips :) I like it!
I'm liking the knowledge CAS
I'm a Marine and I like crayons!
You could've stopped after "I'm a Marine" the rest is implied. JK Brother.
bulletprufpudin and paste
Red is my favorite
I like this guy, and his content. please keep making videos
Keep the drill videos coming!
I really prefer this technique/training stuff over the gear videos. You've got real, unique authority on this sort of stuff, with experience that few others can boast. This and the THOT drill video were superb. Looking forward to everything else in this series, GT.

Your new name is Papa Gar! Papa Gars dropping some sweet ass knowledge! Good man right here

Literally the best humor.
Love your videos, keep it up
Crayons are awesome!
Crayon jokes are like Make-A-Wish kids: they never get old.
I'm going to hell for laughing as hard as I just did at that joke hahaha.
Sick
But hilarious.
That's fucked lol...I can't like it...
Oh you winnnnnnnn......
Your channel rocks
What I appreciate about LT GT is his all, “I’m not really any good.”
Could you do a video of the kind of workouts you do? I really appreciate the detail that goes into each video, and i feel as though a video on this kind of thing would help weaker shooters find ways to build strength
Deploying soon. Will be adding this to my teams drills
