Did you have many moms in the program? How did they do? I am enrolling in 2023 and I'm so scared I won't be able to balance it all 😕😕😕

    • @Justchrislove

Almost every woman in my dental hygiene program was a mom. You can most certainly do it.
I would love to help you get prepared for entering hygiene school and making sure you have that balance. Shoot me a message on IG. @justchrislove

It’ll be hard to balance if you’re not having some financial support. A lot of moms have support when they go into the program

@@InnerRise there is definetly time to for yourself, althought its minimal, but there is freetime trust me. Some of my classmates are even working part time. So if u dont work like I dont, u can get some days to urself, but majority of ur time is running through assignments, studying, cases, etc.

@@afghanerwin5335 How much free time you have during a dental hygiene program depends on the program....... I got my DH degree in a 2 year community college right from high school and was done in 2 years- 4 semesters and one summer school between year 1 & 2...... I had 21, yes, 21 credits, the FIRST semester. I had no college credits entering the program. After I got in, I found out there were only 2 of us students accepted without any college credits..... Now, it appears requirements appear to want some basic courses out of the way like English 101, 102, psyc, sociology, etc. so that you have more time to focus on the dental aspect, which is a good idea but it takes longer to graduate and get a license...... I went to summer school and took 2 -3 credit classes that met every night for 4 hours and had assignments. I busted my butt, but thrilled I was one of the few who got the program done in 2 years & was working full time immediately upon getting my license. At 20 years old, I had my Associates Degree & was making good money.

Also how is the board exam is it a fill in the blank or multiple choice

    • @Justchrislove

If you don’t know anything about the teeth I would start to study the anatomy of the teeth and learn teeth numbers. Yes the board is multiple choice but there are also case study questions.
