I've mentioned it before. don't tell them you have cameras and tell them to write the ticket. then go to court and bring your videos to prove that the cop is lying. that will let the court know that the cops word can't be trusted in a court of law.

Damn I’ve seen you stalked and pulled over more than anyone. You should do a traffic stop video montage and edit together pieces of all the stops with a counter at the bottom, (include the DMV nonsense too) curious to see what the number is. If there’s anyone they should know not to mess with, it’s the guy that does this every night with dash cams covering all the angles, you the man!

If only I had video of being harassed. Im seeking a lawsuit. Ive been harassed followed home search detained pulled out of my car handcuffed drug deals solicited and no ticket yet but been pulled over and or followed home 11 times since 2012. All cause I refused a search when I had a headlight out so he said I got him that time but he's gonna get me and get me good. Now anytime I'm seen or a cop behind me....i get pulled over every single time cause that POS wrote something in on my name in the CAD.
Yet to get a ticket or arrest. All cause in 2013 refusing consent to a search or seizure.

@@craiglyles4755 this is my 6th diff vehicle since 2012. I had to start driving a vehicle not registered to me which was my mom's that passed away 11 yrs ago. I had a single vehicle accident...my dad came to get me and witnessed the cop run the tag n all was good till he ran my license n then said registration color doesn't match which is a lie n dont matter anyway. That's not illegal...they do that cause what that punk in 2012 wrote in on the CAD. So they then knew I drove that vehicle...got it fixed n first time i was able to drive it I was followed home with them bright lights on right on my bumper so i couldn't see but I drove perfect...so 4 miles later I'm pulling in my driveway i get lit up...5 patrol cars...for alleged tint at night in the rain. Again got pulled out searched threatened n no drugs ofc after claiming lassie hit ...then no ticket or warning cause i did nothing wrong....but conveniently 5 patrol cars claiming tint too dark at night n no tint meter
This is sad to see my former department acting like this,,,,,,some are good but most are corrupt criminals who don't know the Law or how to follow there own policies

Only thing "wrong" with this interaction is not requesting sternly to go on your way..."Am I free to go...?" Indicates for court the clock is ticking...Always do that immediately after handing over your info, because the courts have ruled no traffic stop should take more than 15 minutes...Start that clock, else the detention is "voluntary", in the eyes of the court.

I've also been pulled over and issued citations three times after recording police activity. All three citations were dismissed as soon as I challenged them. Didn't even have to go to court - the officers dismissed them.
And then I opened an IA complaint that eventually resulted in an FDLE investigation against the whole department. Two officers were fired and the department was required to hire two IA officers EXTERNALLY. Haven't had the problem with that department since.

After I moved from Illinois to Indiana, it was like ‘95ish, I went back Illinois for a visit and got pulled over in a town near my hometown. Cop said my plate didn’t come back, so he wanted to search my car because my buddy and I had shoulder length hair. Never knew why the plate didn’t come up till I saw one of Chuck’s videos, 25 years later

btw, for your viewers, you can foia for each of the registration searches. if they cannot produce the first reg search that results in the stop (which you would be allowed as evidence for your court hearing), you may want to hire an attorney to see if that is enough to get a ticket dropped.

I came across this video by mistake I live here in Lee county and I was actually at this racetrack gas station today my parents live in Cape Coral and my girlfriend lives out in Lehigh so I deal with Cape Coral Police fort Myers police in the Lee county sheriff's going to and from my families home and my girlfriends.. and I got to tell you Cape Coral Police used to be the worst but now the sheriff's are definitely by far the worst. You got a new subscriber and I liked the video for ya. Can't wait to see what else you record in Lee county that doesn't make the news...
I used to thank cops for risking their lives for us, but I'm starting to see that's not the case. It's a shame that in order to protect ourselves from them that we have to record every damned thing they do. I'd love it if someday you could do a few episodes for your channel here in Houston, Texas. I think you'd get plenty of material here.

In most cases, they don't care and issue a ticket anyway. That's because even an IA complaint is ignored, but the courts and city, county still receive federal, state and taxpayer's funds to increase revenue for the courts, city/county and these cops who get 'overtime' for any time-off for 'disciplinary' actions.

the officer should print out evidence of the search that shows the tag as being expired. it is a very minor thing to show that as evidence. other wise they can fat finger the tag number and have cause to pull anybody over anytime for no reason and id them and do more if they want to.

Florida law no longer allows the 5 mile an hour over the limit. When they did allow it, it was still enough probable cause to pull you over but not write a citation.

All plates are run through NCIC/NLETS but the actual search goes through the state DMV system. You are 100% correct that if you have a specialty plate there is an extra character that needs to be added when running the plate to distinguish it from the standard plate. Dispatchers would know that but most officers don't.
But, extending a stop because they don't know how to run a plate properly is their training and competency issue, not yours. Any suspicion they may have had could've been easily dispelled by running the VIN that they checked on your car and is clearly on the paperwork to see the correct search result. Instead, they took something that could be handled in 5 minutes into a ridiculous time.
