Can I just say the Illustration by Chris van Allsburg himself are the most beautiful part of not just the polar express but all of Chris van Allsburg works.
The Polar Express is criminally underrated and so is the book. I love your gentle and lovely voice while you choose the music from Super Mario Galaxy. My favourite game of all time. The mysterious, weird and beautiful story of self believe. The movie has a lot of passion and heart, it’s one of my favourite Christmas movies of all time. There will Never Ever be another movie/book like The Polar Express Merry Christmas to you Train of Thought
Actually it's pretty mainstream but there are plenty of other Christmas movies that are about trains, Pere Marquette 1225 only can travel mostly in her home state and my favorite engine is her cousin Nickel Plate 765 which has traveled across the country
You have such a good reading voice and this plus the Super Mario Galaxy music mde me get teary eyed, such a good video and Read by you! Merry Christmas!
You cannot say these illustrations are *NOT* beautiful. Serious, C.V.A REALLY knew how to create a wonderful christmas bedtime story, all about a magical Express train set in the 1950's. I could really tell he was putting as much childhood Christmas nostalgia into this story, and how much he not only valued the Pere Marquette 1225, but also the wondeful, jolly spirit of Christmas. The book may be 40 next year, but the film made almost 20 years after being published will *ALWAYS* manage to keep the legacy of this beautiful book. Merry Christmas Train of Thought!
Nice to hear you read the book that inspired the weirdly interesting film. I like the fatc that the drifting train was only in the film adaptation, I wonder why they wanted to include that?
Dude, I was so obsessed with reading the book in my school library. Eventually, the librarian was like, "This isn't on your grade level, but I'll let you read it one last time," aka i was too old lol
Merry Christmas Trains Of Thought. Not only I really want to get a copy of the original book but the Mario Galaxy music used in the background made this a wholesome experience to listen.
Thank you for retelling one of the best Christmas stories about a train! Edit: Props to using Mario Galaxy music box music, Mario and trains are one of my favorite combos.
I LOVE how the doubting hobo gets his moment of humanity, even though it's still too late to save himself. He didn't believe in the kid's cause, and he had already died livin' a bum's life-- He still saves the kid.
Next year’s Christmas, you should read Mrs. Kindley’s Christmas from seventh book of The Railway Series Toby The Tram Engine by the Rev. W. Awdry. Since 2025 is the year of The Railway Series’ 80th Anniversary. 😉
i think someone already suggested this (or maybe not, but it'd be a really late one) but please do analysis on the Aurora (and maybe also other trains) from Metro Exodus, really curious about what things they mashed together to make it
Cool video! Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and gets some kickass presents (also I wanted to dono $12.25 for Christmas but yt is only letting me do increments of 5 for super comments)

Merry Christmas to you Train of Thought
The film is indeed underrated, but also VERY controversial. Though, even as a kid I had no issues with the film.

I found it extremely disconcerting that the steam engine sound was out of sync with the piston movement.
One thing that modern technology can't recreate is a magic of steam.
I enjoy both the film and movie.
*book. I meant book.
@ShinGhidorah17 you can edit the original comment

To be honest, the book is better than the movie, quick and to the point, and rather a nice message.
the Super Mario Galaxy music in the background...man ...
It’s very fitting
you have the perfect voice for this. I'm genuinely impressed!
Merry Christmas and happy 20th anniversary to the movie

You've got a wonderful voice to listen to 😊

Well done, TOT. At least this saves me the cringe of watching the film again.
I don’t think the film was that bad.

He still saves the kid.
Use to read the book at My late grandma's house and attended a school play based on it
This is one of my favourite books growing up.
Mine too.
The Polar Express forever

i cried
Merry Christmas Rollers! And a happy new year!
I can’t read the Polar Express without thinking to Alan Silversti’s score of the film.
Merry Christmas!
Wonderful ❤❤❤❤
The Polar Express street running is a lot like Fort Collins Colorado and Downtown Newberg Oregon and Downtown Hillsboro Oregon.
I enjoyed this more than the film if im being brutally honest
You should read more stories, your voice is nice to listen.
Peak ToT ASMR
All this video tells me is ToT should narrate The Railway Series, and also put out auditions for voice-acting roles
Very good special wish you wouldn't go so wild with the Bell noise, though.
I’m watching the movie today.
Some shots in the movie make the locomotive bend like a slithering snake, and the amount of coaches constantly changing always bothered me.
Well done m8
Cool video!
Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and gets some kickass presents
(also I wanted to dono $12.25 for Christmas but yt is only letting me do increments of 5 for super comments)
I am currently making a Polar Express video for this Christmas.
Looks like we found the next Thomas the tank engine narrator
It’s pronounced ‘Noogar’ not nughourt lol. It is French.
Cool storytelling though and Merry Christmas mate.
