Absolutely awesome!. I just took off from LAX Tue. On the way back to Houston. Weather was rainy & stormy & windy but pilots were experienced! Airforce one's take off is stunning. We left @ 5:15pm & arrived in Houston @11:00pm. Got a chance to speak with both pilots to thank them. On United. I say it again. That's a Big iron Bird! Big baby!
With just a few passengers on board and all of the absent luggage and freight, that makes a huge difference. You have to take the new and special HW24 fuel into account also.
With its fuel tanks topped off, Air Force One needs at least 10,800 feet of runway for its takeoff. Runway 6R is 10,885 ft long. Considering its range it was only a short distance, the tanks were probably not full.
It gives me the goose bumps and with tears in my eyes. Because I spent a couple of weeks working UNKNOWINGLY during the final production of Air Force One. In the late 80's. Boeing had listed this aircraft as one of the Middle East kings airplanes for safety reasons. At the same time, the media came out with the news that Boeing will be building Air Force One in the future.Later we found out these planes were done the day they were leaving the manufacturer airport for Texas. It was until these particular planes were airborne on the way to Texas. We were told that the Air Force One planes were done n gone out of the factory. I was so proud of Boeing n myself for doing a patriotic job well done. Then in the 90' as a Reservist officer I happened to be on the flight line at a military base. I got sectioned to go to service the radar on Air Force One as I was landing. It was a last minute just as the plane landed. The joy n glory of my life to serve.
Did you notice that from a certain angle, the front of the aircraft almost looks like a face complete with eyes, nose, and a mouth. Who it kind of looks like I won't say because they would send the men in the white coats to fetch me.😁
Hello my lovely amigo, it was spectacular to see the Air Force One departure at LAX with Kevin. Thank you so much for that, see you soon. Love to you lots ❤😊
@@TheCondorStripes Hello there my amigo! I think Kevin got a winning shot of Air Force One! Hope to see you soon too. There is much rain in California so Kevin won't be out until maybe Wednesday. Lots of love to you always ❤🥰
@@cherylreichardt Yes my amigo, it was great to seeing the takeoff of Air Force One plane at LAX. Yes there is so much rain in California because there is a big storm and also loved the Reverse Ops action. Hope you see you soon on Wednesday. Love to you lots. ❤️🥰
I was a ramp agent at Sky Harbour Airport in Phoenix during the Bush 2 administration. It was always a trip watching Air Force One land and departing the airport. It was also great to be able to see the aircraft parked on the tarmac. AF1 is a beautiful jet. I don't understand the physics of aerodynamics but the way an aircraft that size can take off so quickly is amazing . It's like the engines start and you blink and it's off the ground. Amazing.
That was a cool and very noticeable yaw back into the strong southeast winds after pilot released the left rudder they were holding to counteract the crosswind during the takeoff roll and subsequent rotation. Great capture as always, Kevin.
Back in 2015 I was able to see Air Force One fly overhead after leaving Hartsfield/Jackson Airport. What an awesome sight. Such a huge plane. Beautiful.
It’s really unfortunate that so many uneducated people have to ignore the ‘guidelines for this channel’ and can’t just enjoy the engineering of this magnificent aircraft.
I was on flight test program for 747 back in 1969, had five to test in parralel, saw them land and take off almost every day standing at the rotation point next to the runway. awesome site. flew on ra002 for landing gear and brake testing down in NM
If anyone has ever tied to smoothly video something that goes from in front of you to over your head to behind you knows. That isn’t easy to be that smooth
Wow!!! Awesome shots of the Air Force One departure as always Kevin and also great camera work to do. Thank you so much for that, hopefully we will see you again soon.
Good work! Seeing the belly of this gracious beast as she roared by put me into a nostalgic trance, remembering times on Sandpiper hill as the Queens made their way into the skies and over the Pacific. .
Airframe built by the Boeing Company in Seattle and the interior and systems installed by the Boeing Company in Wichita, Kansas. Still the most impressive bird that has ever flown, and will ever fly. No other country on earth has anything like it.
Watching Air Force One take off never gets old. Beautiful airplane!
I assume that AF1 has the very best pilots.

Looked like a normal take off for a Boeing 747-200 especially since it's probably light compared to a regular passenger version.
I know. It did not look like it was going fast enough to take off.
Incorrect
Being a Brit this is only the 2nd time I've seen AF1....you had the best view there in your location, Kevin! Magnificent plane, take off and colours.
My word, what a magnificent beast! It looks like a flying brontosaurus. Look how it tucks its paws up under it after it lifts off.

A well maintained 747. It is still impressive. 😮😅

The only downside I can see here is Biden didn’t know he was on that aircraft. God help this country.
