Best episode yet with Andy! He’s a fount of knowledge and his larking about like a slomo squid is impressive for his size.

This brings back some memories of my childhood. I remember my neighbor having one of these and I wanted one so bad and after years the guy had gifted it to me I think I was like eight or 10 years old. I loved that bike so much. After having it a few months someone stole it from me I was devastated I ended up finding the bike in a shallow river destroyed. How someone can destroy such an awesome machine still bothers me till this day. Great videos can’t wait to see what’s coming up.

Excellent build video. I love the trail 70's. I grew up on them. I would love to see some more detailed rebuilding of the motor especially on setting up the timing chain and the magneto. It would be great to see how you split the cases apart with those darn phillips screw heads. I guess they are probably jis heads and maybe that is why I always had trouble as a kid messing up the heads of the screws and not being able to get them apart. I noticed that you put in allen or hex head bolts in the cases. Great video, thanks.

I have a 1974 XL70, and I'm curious about the spacer Andy mentioned for the shifter rod. Great build series. Thank you.

I still prefer my Kawasaki 75 two-stroke. Keep the oil tank filled and change the transmission oil once in a while.

Trail 70 was never that good a bike. They were reliable for sure. The SL70 was the way better bike.
