The Deer & The Dragon: Best Romantasy Ever!

"The Deer and The Dragon" by Piper CJ is the best romantasy book I've read. It's my second favorite book of the year after "Lilith" by Nikki Marmery, which I covered in my vblog about my winter fiction TBR. Folklore intertwines ingeniously with Christian mythology. This is a great book for all the religious trauma survivors out there. Piper CJ puts her M.A. in folklore to work incorporating forgotten pantheons and lore into her book. I first heard about Piper CJ looking for podcasts about fae and folklore. I enjoyed the interview so much that I looked up her books. I immediately bought "The Deer and The Dragon" at our local bookstore. I was dismayed but not surprised to discover that the author has been a victim of cyberbullying, even by her own community. I talk a bit more about the subject of my last vlog: snobbery and shaming of authors and readers. Unfortunately, it's often the so-called progressives doing bullying.
To the snobs, brats, and bullies: Do you really want to eat your own in a time when extremists are coming for public libraries and burning books? Let people enjoy their books and live their lives. Stop acting like religious zealots.
