Wish I saw this last year when I bought bike shorts! I wear oversized men’s tshirts to garden in & you can’t see regular shorts underneath so it looks like i forgot to put pants on, hence the longer bike shorts. But they are performance shorts and not cheap! For my purposes, these are MUCH better & can actually be cute, not just black, lol LOVE THEM
Those are super cute shorts! I'd hesitate to call them bike shorts though: on bike shorts you'd want to eliminate the inseam by moving it to the outside of the leg to avoid chafing the inner thigh. You'd also probably want to put a lining over the crotch seam assuming you don't go all the way to sewing in a chamois, again to avoid chafing. As is, though, they'd work fantastic for yoga, aerobics, weightlifting, and all kinds of other sports and activities!
They look really cute, but that seam along the crotch promises to rub on body parts I’d rather not have rubbed. If you ever want to create a pattern without that center crotch seam, that I’d be interested in.
I have worn them many times and there is no rubbing. Also if you wear underwear you will not feel anything. Just about all pants have a seat seams too. It is a very normal seam in pants.
I always wear leggings under my shorts. Shorts are too short for my comfort. The bike shorts are going to be great for when I don't want to wear a full length legging.♥️
Thanks! I can't find the link for sewing elastic to the waist band. Also. I'd make the pocket with turned edges. I'm not fond of a rough edge pocket on a spandex fabric.
Easy to understand.
I am happy to hear that 🎀❤️
My 15 year old daughter saw this and wants me to make it for her. I think I can do it, thanks Anastasia!
@@artillerybuff2000 you totally can!!!

LOL I wonder how many of the neighbors think you garden with no pants on? lol 😂 Happy sewing!

@@SewAnastasia Altering patterns is the secret cheat code to sewing, that's why I love this hobby!
I love how you use the overcast stitch for the pocket!
It worked great! I totally suggest trying it out on a project.
Love them, can’t wait

Apparently I’ve been sewing in the round incorrectly. Thanks for the video!
You’re welcome 😊
I’m unable to find the pattern.
@@michellehollihan4896 I just added it to the site. Sorry about that. anastasiachatzka.com/products/bike-shorts-pdf-sewing-pattern
