Lovebites have been one of my absolute favourite bands for the last 6 years. I bought a copy of Awakening at a convention on a whim and was blown away. Following the departure of Miho I'd honestly been nervous to listen to anything by them, knowing what she brought to the band. 2 months after its release I finally listened to Judgement Day. I've now been listening to this song for a solid 2 hours. Shadow Maker, Empty Daydream, Swan Song...this joins the ranks of those songs that have immediately grabbed me, and forced home the fact that one person doesn't make Lovebites. As a unit, they're incredible no matter what happens. Tl;dr - This song is fucking incredible.

The very energetic and astounding closing song!! The speed of the song is amazing, but the high pitched singing voice is also amazing. 1:48 already high from the "A" melody (= Verse 1) 2:48 Asami and Haruna pretend to grow horns with their fingers. This gesture jokingly represents an angry oni (Japanese demon) 👿.

To me Haruna sounds a bit like Paul Bostaph as well as a bit like Dave Lombardo, but with her own unique style. And then this song to me leaves Paul Bostaph out the mix (no disrespect intended for Paul Bostaph) and instead sounds a bit like Dave Lombardo and Tim 'The Missile' Yeung, while again with Haruna's own unique style. And the comparison to Dave and Tim and Paul is meant as a compliment, since my opinion is that those are 3 of the greatest Metal drummers of all time. And I personally think that Haruna is on the same level as them, because she is that skilled/talented. All the ladies in Lovebites are extremely talented, I simply mention only the drumming simply due to the fact that drummers are far too often overlooked/not mentioned, which I think is unfair. But regardless, yet another perfect example of what Heavy Metal SHOULD sound like, as well as the fact that Lovebites not only sets the bar for Heavy Metal but they ARE the bar. I love this band so much. The reason they create such amazing metal is that they really love the music. My only complaint is that Haruna is too humble. Fast? Try blistering. This band has set a new standard in quality speed metal.
Haruna has two speeds on drums: Fast, and FASTER. And yet there's absolutely no arrogance from her, but rather humility. She doesn't have to mention a single word about how skilled she is, rather Haruna simply lets her drumming speak for her. And the exact same thing can be said about the other ladies in the band. They all let their talents speak for them.
indeed, her compositions are very chaotic but beneath is the asymmetric balance created by the ingenuity and execution of these accomplished musicians. This composition I reckon is a piano root composition and with Miyako being multi intrumental including the drums, she has great skill in manipulating time signature dynamics, making this a complex composition. She is definitely a F genius and a lifelong learning musician/composer slated for the gallery of the greats!🤟🤟
@zainalabidin ramli 100% agree, her music writing ability is scary AF. I'm no musician, but having the physical prowess to play heavy metal instruments and the brains to think like a classical composer has to be a lethal combination.

Mao and Miyako wrote all the music and Asami all the words, Haruna all the drums, and Fami has her fingerprints on the basslines and Midori does her own solos. So it is still a group effort. Sure Asami is the stage general and main spokeswoman but doesn't make it her band.
