It’s now 2020. I did not originally post these videos, nor did I ever manage the account.
I’ve never viewed the reception I’ve been given, only been told by word of mouth. I’ve finally been convinced by those close to me in the boxing game to give this a shot.
New, as well as unseen, content will be posted in the coming weeks. Thanks for all your support.

i love how he emphasized "sometimes in boxing nothing is happening. its boring to the crow, but to real boxers that are sitting there watching, they know these guys are playing chess."
casual fans- there is your answer why Floyd is "boring." its because you dont know the sport as well as we do.

***** dude's bitching about OLD Mayweather's fighting style... lol
i bet you've never seen him fight when he was a young lion called "Pretty Boy"
btw... Chocolatito isnt an "OUTBOXER" like Floyd...
Rigo? that dude "runs" and make effective use of his legs every fight... wtf? yet youre not bitching about him? LOL HE HAS THE SAME STYLE AS MAYWEATHER, YOU IDIOT.
+ cmon... if youre gonna bitch about Floyd's hit and run tactics (which is called OUT-BOXING)
you have to also bitch about Ali for fighting that way. remember "float like a butterfly, sting like a bee."
also... go ahead bitch about Ray Leonard too for fighting the way Mayweather did when he fought Duran the 2nd time.
cmon man... stop being a biased PACTARD.
im Filipino too, but damn man. leave the hatred for Mayweather out the door when talking about boxing.
have a good day PACTARD, and never forget.

dru713281 MMA is the same. really, corruption is everywhere....
but... lets talk FACTS... outboxing is a part of boxing.
      Floyd OUTBOXED Manny.
i was going for MP in that match since im Filipino and im a big MP fan...
BUT as a REAL BOXING FAN, i scored the fight fairly... i had Floyd winning on my card.
sad, but that is the truth.
      Floyd won, fair and square.

I used this once in kickboxing. I could never connect with my spinning back kick because my oppenents always saw them coming. Then I did a half step and waited for their reaction. In that time when oppoenent turned towards me I could easily connect with my kick. That shit opened my eyes and I finally understood how important footwork was.

That's why you don't box you use everything. Because, in reality anything can happen. So, why only train hands? If your going to try to become a professional boxer. Then train just hands. If your looking for self defense against even a soldier's training. You will need your feet to stay away. Until you know you have a at least a quarter second to hit the jaw or kidney. Otherwise, your hands are just distractions. Those are the only 2 spots that cannot be toughened up. So, if your facing someone with a decent daily ab work out. Striking the body will do nothing unless your twice his size. So, training just hands. Limits your survival abilities in any situation.

I was working on something like this based on evading and countering from an angle to answer a linear attack. Not being there is half of the defense. The other is paying attention to your line of attack. If you're evading but lose the line, you are vulnerable when you reset.

I've used that big step left in a weird way sometimes. I'll slide hard left to the outside at the same time throwing a big right hook. The opponent stepping in eats it damn near every time. It changes my angle slightly and puts me in a south paw stance. As I slide to the outside after I throw the right my left leg and body position is set up for a nice power straight left.

Basically don't get caught mid step. With smaller steps, your in guard more often. Meaning you can punch, maneuver and change position, AS you Life, where ever you are, you're more dynamic. By takings bigger steps, you move faster, but you sacrifice your movabiliry while you are changing positions on the board. And you can be intercepted. It's like you're sacrificing too much to take such a large step. So gain less distance, but get there in a safer way, with control and options. Interesting.

So the aim is to always position my lead shoulder/side to where my opponent will be at a squared up angle before I attack? I apologize if this is a n00b question, I am still very much a beginner with boxing.

Ive never felt comfortable with the orthodox western style. I felt more comfortable with a modified side stance similar to karate kokutsu or tae kwon rear or back stance.

    • @camdevtube
      @camdevtube 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

Side stance is not really useful in a boxing match. I'm going to assume you're right handed, so try this exercise out: Get into your side stance and then strike with your right hand. Now get into a standard orthodox boxing stance and strike with your right hand. When you compare the two strikes, you'll notice your hand has to travel a longer distance in side stance and it's going to end up being more telegraphed. In other words, this stance is useless in a boxing situation because your strongest hits are going to take longer to execute and any experienced fighter is going to dodge it with ease.
Outside of boxing, the stance would have more uses - especially since 99% of street fights you get into will be against an untrained opponent, meaning they won't know how to take advantage of your side stance, as well as the fact that side stance presents a smaller target to strike so they probably won't hit you very much.

@@camdevtube you're right. And, it would depend on my experience and skillset to overcome those weakpoints.
I can adapt into other stances as I first started boxing using orthodox, but as time progressed I fell more into a hitman and mayweather style.
      To each their own.
