I don’t care how anybody takes this. But this woman is just straight up awesome. And I’m not just talking about her weight lifting ability. Which is pretty darn impressive.
Found out about her few yrs ago. Mean technique, and when she gets the lift just right, so enjoyable to watch her form. in slo mo. Fav female Oly lifter and only one I follow on IG.
Another thing to mention it helps she has a track and field background. Also, if you watched the ATG documentary she also does a good deal of accessory work.
Kuo is so incredibly strong especially considering her competition body weight. She's like a race car - no wasted extras and less is truly more. Dane & GS I really dig your videos. You should totally hit me up with a free weightlifting program lol!
First attempt for Olympic gold, second attempt for OR, third attempt for her own WR (unfortunately not this time).....that's how dominant she is in her category.....but what impressed me the most is how she helped out less fortunate kids with gear, pushed the sport of weightlifting, and even donated a freaking ambulance to rural parts of Taiwan before all her success at the Olympics.
somehow I felt sorry for her as a Taiwanese. coz in Taiwan there's no such a detail/professional/scientific clip talking about her skills. Even after she won the Olympic gold medal...sigh thanks you sir, great video. great research
@Garage Strength, this is a personal question. I'm a sophomore currently and want to do wrestling next year. I've want to do it since 7th grade but my parents always said no because its contact but I just love the sport so much. If I convince my parents and grind my ass off for 6 months with the equipment I have, could I still be a good wrestler? Thanks man, love the videos. :)
Below paralell valgus only means quads are porportionately more participant in the movenement than the glutes, as it should be. Above paralell valgus is a sign of faulty technique
I have been practicing snatch for 6 months and I am stuck at 65 lb( 35 bar 15 +15) next weight I can go up is 70 since 2.5lb is th lowest weigh our gym has. what should I do? 1. keep on lifting just 65 2. buy 1-1.5 weight and try to go up. 3. keep doing drills until I can lift to 70. Please help me. thank you!
Quick question, I’ve been lifting from home in preparation for wrestling for a while and have recently been interested in training Olympic lifts, largely due to your content. However, due to the complexity of the movements I have opted to wait until I’m able to get with a coach in person (not saying your style isn’t effective, but I personally respond better to in person coaching). The question is, are there more basic compound movements I can utilize that develop similar explosiveness in the meantime? Thanks!
I'm definitely not who you asked for, and I'm definitely not qualified to give any form of answer, but I'd like to add that practicing the vertical jump and other kinds of jumping might serve you well while you wait.
Thanks Coach! I’ll continue using those compounds Hilltop loser, any and all help is wanted, my friend. I appreciate it, I’ll be sure to experiment with different jump variations. Thanks again
You talk so much about Kuo Hsing Chun, but you never mention Rim Jong-sim, who won gold at u69 in London, gold at u75 in Rio, and is the current favorite to win u76 in Tokyo... curious.
Hey coach im having trouble catching in a full squat, everything i do i still catch it tall in a power position, up to 225 i catch in power and i know i could clean alot more if i dropped to a squat is there any drills you can reccomend to train that instinct to drop down?
Try working on ankle mobility. Start doing the bar an weights around 60 kg where you work on moving in full range of motion when turning over the wrists. Hope that helps 👍
I'm struggling with this too! Thank you, Coach :) David, I'm incorporating tall cleans & drop snatches in my training to battle that moment of sheer terror that's mentally blocking me from dropping into the full squat mid-lift.
We are Taiwan and not Chinese Taipei. The people of Taiwan will suffer this humiliation only because of the suppression of the Chinese government and the Western world that is afraid of the CCP.
She just won gold today at Tokyo Olympics
As a Taiwanese, we are so proud of her! She’s a true beauty as she’s optimistic, kind and generous.
As a non-Taiwanese, I'm jealous. She's amazing
i want to meet her 😂
Sexy ass tease...
her character also helps her training by donating and giving back to the community. internal reflects the external
I've studied her tech for years !!! The fluid movement is amazing
Can't be beat!
I don’t care how anybody takes this. But this woman is just straight up awesome. And I’m not just talking about her weight lifting ability. Which is pretty darn impressive.

Olympic gold. Her technique is so fluid
Guo is the pride of our country. She is very self-disciplined in her training and life. She is also very humble. Thank you for introducing her.
Well said 💪

This video is absolutely amazing!! Thank you for sharing this here. I love Kuo!!!! She is is probably the GOAT woman in Oly lifting mobility.
Glad you enjoyed it!

I heard she plays the piano to quiet her mind...

Maybe one day 😉

she's so dominant, her total lift in Tokyo would get her silver in the 64kg category
@@bensonnyborja2008 few days ago she won again at the 2021 IWF World Championships : )
She's the Queen 🏆🔥🏋️
For insight into weightlifting, you guys are a top channel. Thank you for work.
Much appreciated! Thank you 💪
She is the best that she spend almost all money she won to help poor kids in her hometown to chasing their dreams
somehow I felt sorry for her as a Taiwanese.

Weightlifting is a very underdeveloped sport in Taiwan, powerlifting is much more popular.
do you know her best is not her strength, the best is the heart of her charity! definitely!
She is a beauty in weightlifting
Watching the world's best here. Her focus in warm ups and in other training videos is a lesson for all weightlifters. Fantastic
Thank you for saying 'weightlifter' with best technique and not 'female weightlifter'
👆👆
Female weighlifter, ur welcome
But she is female tho
Both correct terms though. I see no problem with either
Oh boy
I am from Taiwan. I am proud of her.
Oh my god her knees are valgus! That’s gonna prevent her from winning a world title!
😂😂
She just won a gold medal at Tokyo Olympics.
She is very strong and as you said her stability speaks first .
I reckon that one down vote on this video was from Choe Hyo-sim
😂😂
Great video. Not sure how I just discovered the channel. Subbed and notifications on.
Welcome aboard!
I bet you saw her Olympic gold medal coming.
i knew it, Kuo is perfect, her form always is the same, with light weights and heavy weights,
No doubt!
Great stuff Coach, thank you!
Glad you liked it 💪
Anything kuo I like. She's awesome.
She also can play good piano. 🎹
You are Taiwanese,aren’t you?
Her lifts are so damn pretty smooth asf

Yes, you have to train very hard and learn as much as you can from coaches. Good luck 💪
She's an artist :)

Would anyone know what shoes she is wearing in the 2017 clip?

May not the same level, but squats and bench can develop explosiveness

Anybody catch that ghost bounce at 13:03-13:04??? The bar didn't touch the ground on that bounce.... HAHA
Trippy
Love your video 3000🔥🔥🔥

Well, it's not about the instincts, but flexibility in shoulders, hips, ankles.
她永遠是傳奇~~❤
She is the best
at 10:03 the bar doesn't even touch the ground when she drops it, it bounced off nothing. Kuo is not from this planet and this is proof.
😂😂😂
Perfect, efficient form, beautiful. And she isn’t bad either!
👆👆👆
That’s not valgus at the knee. That’s the femur coming out of internal rotation at the hip as she stands up.
She’s too good 👍🏻
Kuo vs Lu?
Better Than lasha or lu????
Practice, practice, practice.
can you make a video about Morady, Morady's form is perfect, in my humble opinion, he has a strong clean either
